Position Overview

Reporting to Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, the successful applicant will be responsible for

Safe and efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of a range of traditional and sophisticated mining equipment
Supporting the operation in preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance work processes and providing feedback to optimize reliability
Adhering to and promoting all safety policies, procedures and systems
Identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement of area activities or problem equipment
Perform daily tasks using Computer Maintenance Management Systems

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a team player with a who possesses

Certificate of Qualification in Heavy Equipment or Automotive
Preference to individuals with minimum two (2) years’ experience
A motivated attitude, a dynamic approach to getting tasks complete, and pride in accomplishment and craftsmanship
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, locate, identify and diagnose malfunctions
Proven ability to work under minimal supervision
Good interpersonal skills, communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with peers, engineering, and management
Comprehensive analytical and problem solving skills and interest in continuous learning and improvement
Familiarity/experience with mining equipment such as Sandvik, Atlas Copco, MacLean, associated electrical/electronic systems and an underground environment would be considered an asset
