Marketing Administrative Assistant

Position Overview:
As a Marketing Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our marketing efforts. You will work closely with the marketing team to execute various marketing initiatives, assist in client communication, and contribute to the development of creative content.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the marketing team, including scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and managing communication with external partners.
Promotional Execution: Assist in the development and execution of marketing promotion across various channels, including digital, online, and traditional channels.
Event Coordination: Support the planning and coordination of events, trade shows, and promotional activities.
Content Creation: Contribute to the creation of engaging and compelling content for marketing materials, print media, and other platforms.
Website Management: Utilize your experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) to update and maintain our company website, ensuring content is current, relevant, and aligns with manufacturer information.
Desktop Publishing: Proficiency in QuarkXpress and Adobe platforms will be valuable in assisting with the creation of visually appealing and professionally formatted materials.
Data Integrity: Work collaboratively with external partners and internal systems and team members to ensure the accurate collection, dissemination, distribution, and application of product catalog data.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with marketing tools and platforms.
Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) for website management.
Proficiency in QuarkXpress for desktop publishing.
Familiarity with Adobe applications (Photoshop, Acrobat).
Strong written and verbal communication skills. (Bilingual French is an asset)
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when needed.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) ERP system is an asset.
Experience with basic HTML/CSS code is an asset.
Post-Secondary education or degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is an asset.
Previous experience (internship or entry-level position) in marketing is an asset.
Wholesale and/or pet supply industry experience is an asset.
