Achievers is looking for a Procurement leader to plan and execute scalable operations that will govern our acquisition and supply of trade vendors and services partners. As Senior Manager, Procurement at Achievers, you will be directly responsible for achieving cost-efficiency targets across our trade vendors and will take a leadership role in building sustainable growth. Reporting to the COO and as a member of the Operations Leadership team, you will take over the global procurement function and be accountable for end to end vendor management (over 500 vendors), including the development of the onboarding processes and its governance, negotiation of key contracts (both new and renewals), and leadership of procurement driven cost savings that will unlock dollars to be re-invest in our growth.
Strategic Procurement:
Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with Achievers' overall business objectives.
Stay ahead of contract renewals, actively engaging in negotiations to secure advantageous terms.
Vendor Relationship Management:
Collaborate with business units to understand their procurement needs for new and existing vendor relationships.
Lead negotiations for strategic trade vendor contracts, ensuring terms align with the company's goals and customer needs.
Process and Policy Development:
Establish and document global procurement and purchasing processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Act as the administrator for procurement software, contributing to the implementation strategy and ongoing optimization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration, Communication, and Relationship Management:
Acquire an in-depth understanding of each department to leverage insights and analysis in vendor contract negotiations.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to ensure clarity of specifications and expectations for vendor contracts.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve procurement effectiveness.
Process Optimization and Automation:
Streamline, automate, and optimize manual procurement processes to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Lead the selection, business case and implementation of a new vendor management tool to enhance tracking, onboarding, and payment processes.
Cost Control and Savings Culture:
Implement measures to control spend and foster a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs at Achievers.
Continuously seek opportunities to optimize costs without compromising quality and service and in doing so achieve an annual cost savings target.
5+ years of experience in procurement and vendor management in a fast-paced, preferably start-up / scale-up environment.
~ Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager with a focus on technology procurement
~ Bachelor’s degree (preferably in supply chain management, logistics or business administration)
~ Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
~ Strong knowledge of supplier or third-party management software
~ Experience in collecting and analyzing data
