Job Responsibilities:
  • Responds to inquiries regarding the program, assessing client eligibility for service as per policy and procedure
  • Creates client files, inputting information into database and updating on a regular basis
  • Receives routine referrals/intake information from local health centre and private clients
  • Develops and distributes client/driver service schedule and informs drivers of changes to their schedules
  • Communicates regularly with clients/caregivers, drivers, funders and various Red Cross departments
  • Integrates volunteer resources within the job’s scope of responsibility
  • Follows all policies and procedures as required to maintain a healthy and safe working environment
  • Directs callers to other community agencies or information sources where appropriate
Job Requirements:
  • One or two years’ of post-secondary education an asset.
  • Three and five years’ job-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • This includes experience in Volunteer Resource Management or an equivalent.
  • Volunteer Management and training experience an asset.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Punctual and organized.
  • Commitment and clear understanding of privacy and confidentiality.
  • Basic computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Experience in an extremely fast-paced and team-oriented office environment.
