Frances’ Financial Solutions is a boutique agile bookkeeping firm focusing on tailored financial solutions including bookkeeping, payroll and finance management. We are currently looking for a bookkeeper to join our team.

Pay: $20.00 to 25.00 per hour 

Job type: Part time 

Location: Barrie, ON (Remote) 

Hours: 10-15 hours per week, flexible Monday-Friday 9-5 EST 

Work Language: English 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage client correspondence 
  • Process full cycle accounting including sales invoices and receipts, AR payments, vendor invoices and AP payments 
  • Reconcile bank statements and review discrepancies 
  • Prepare first review of financial statements – profit and loss, AP, AR 
  • Maintain financial records and documentation according to company standards 
  • Prepare HST/GST/QST filings and remittances 
  • Process payroll and related filings 

Qualifications: 

  • Diploma in accounting or other business field 
  • 3-10 years experience in a bookkeeping/accounting role 
  • 2-5 years experience as a client/business manager 
  • Experience with CRA/non-profit audits 
  • Payroll experience preferred 

Requirements: 

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles 
  • Proficient using a multitude of accounting software – Quickbooks (Desktop and Online), Sage, Xero, Spire 
  • Proficient using receipt/database software including Hubdoc & Dext Prepare 
  • Strong client and vendor relationship skills, including interpersonal, communication, and customer service. 
  • Experience with multiple softwares including 1 Password, Microsoft Suite and Google Suite of products 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Experience working in an agile/remote environment 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills 
  • Thrives in working independently 
  • Proactive and solutions-based approach to problem solving
