Building and Construction Product Manager

Responsible for Machine/Industry forecasting and inventory management. The owner of the long-term industry forecast, market share projection and Finning’s inventory position for each product. Ensures the right product is on the ground at the right place and time. Key measurements are: F12 Industry forecast accuracy, 6-month rolling equipment turns (unit and financial).
Led a team of application specialists including, but not limited to; Work Tools, paving products and the core heavy construction product line (excavators, dozers, articulated trucks, wheel loaders, scrapers, motor graders, track loaders and quarry trucks).
Develop commercial marketing and product training programs to empower the sales organization's success. Sales support / customer-facing sales role with extensive travel required to meet annual objectives. Formal customer and group presentations with public speaking skills will be required.
Collect, track, and communicate industry trends, competitive intelligence and VOC concerning the core industries (road construction, commercial construction, paving, oil & gas, governmental, etc.) to work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute growth strategies as measured by profit, technology sales, and Used.
Travel extensively to Finning branches to mentor and focus regional sales teams on opportunities in their territories. Serve as the primary liaison with Finning’s suppliers: Caterpillar, Weldco-Beales, Weiler, EFI, etc. for “Core”, paving and work tool products and actively search for new partnerships that amplify Finning’s customer solutions.
Education & Experience:5-10 years of industry experience with demonstrated ability to direct and motivate team. 5+ years of direct experience with leading commercial teams. Minimum 5 years of previous sales experience in equipment sales. Exceptional Leadership skills. Undergraduate Commerce degree or equivalent. Industry certification or equivalent work experience. Ability to demonstrate results in marketing or sales operations, understanding deeply how to capture the attention of internal sales teams and external channel partners and customers. Expert persuasion skills and the ability to captivate a room when delivering presentations and product demonstrations regardless of the seniority of the audience. Technical product or application experience is considered an asset.
