Ensures that inquiries, concerns, and issues are addressed or resolved meeting office standards, and detailed records are maintained.2. Resolves policy, by-law matters and divisional services as they relate to public inquiries and concerns. Discusses the same with City staff for appropriate actions and response. 3. Undertakes research and analysis for the Councillor with respect to policy matters and divisional services/programs as they relate to constituency inquiries and concerns. Discusses same with City staff for appropriate actions and response. Prepares responses accordingly.4. Provides constituency outreach and strategic planning. Monitors current issues that may have impact.5. Follows up on requests and inquiries made by the Councillor to City staff and other parties.6. Available to work evenings and weekends as required.7. Undertakes special assignments or duties as requested.Assets:1. Graphic, photography and video production skills.2. Spoken language proficiency in Bengali, Tagalog or Tamil.3. Driving license and access to a car.4. Background in politics, civic engagement or government.5. Understanding of pressing issues, such as housing, public health, budget, transit, social services, resource allocation.Other details:Location is the Constituency Office in the Ward.Hours & Compensation: 35 hours per week, not including occasional evenings and weekends (which will be counted as lieu time). Salary: $50 – 55K. This position includes full health and dental benefits.
