I'm Master Corporal Mark Dumaine from Det New Brunswick. I'm an airdrop system technician with the Canadian Armed Forces parachute team.

The sky hawks our trade essentially we're like the mechanics of the parachuting world. So we repair and maintain all the parachute systems in the canadian armed forces as an airdrop system technician, you'll have some amazingly unique opportunities in the parachuting world from getting qualified parachuting to working with some of the best parachutists out there such as a search and rescue across Canada. We have postings with the special Forces, the Skyhawks and then we have postings at the Army Advanced Warfare Center. We have opportunities to deploy as well across the globe.

Currently, I am the senior rigger on the canadianarmed forces parachute team, the Skyhawks. So my job on the team is essentially to maintain and repair all parachute systems. I'm also a demonstrator on the team. I've had lots of opportunities to progress in the parachuting world. I've had the opportunity to go on my jump master course for round and square parachuting. And then from there, I did my parachute instructor course again for round and square parachuting. I've also had the opportunity to do my tandem instructor course, master riggerr for me. My highlight since I've been an airdrop as a technician has been the Skyhawks to be able to travel and to perform across Canada and able to talk to the public afterwards has definitely been a highlight of my career.

It's hard to describe the feeling from jumping out of a plane. It's an amazing rush. It's something that you continuously want to do and it's just something you have to experience yourself.
