To fulfill our social purpose we have a vision to revolutionize gambling entertainment through engaging experiences that build and benefit communities. We operate national and provincial lotteries in partnership with 3500 retail partners, provide the games, technology & oversight to 37 brick & mortar casinos, and operate a safe secure and 100% legal online gambling presence PlayNow.com. 6 billion in net income to the Province of B.C. to support First Nations, local host governments, health care, education and community programs across the province.
Joining the Social Purpose & Marketing Division (SP&M) means you’ll be working with a group of talented professionals in Social Purpose, Community & Stakeholder Engagement, Communications & Government Relations, Marketing, CRM & Loyalty, and Customer Support. The Enterprise Marketing Planning team is pivotal to setting the overarching strategic marketing vision, direction, and goals for the business. We are business partners to BCLC’s extensive network, including but not limited to Product, Operations, Player Health, and external partners. We’ve built a strong & supportive community within our team, and we take pride in bridging various parts of the business for alignment to help deliver the best plans and outcomes for our players and partners. As a team, we also work in lockstep with the many marketing disciplines within an Agile framework to imagine the best ways to attract and motivate consumers to responsibly play with BCLC.
The Manager, Marketing Planning is responsible for the PlayNow marketing portfolio for all products (Lottery, Casino & Sports), all three jurisdictions (BC, MB & SK), and has oversight and depth of understanding of the BCLC Sports category both online & offline. You understand how to translate their business perspective to create the overarching PlayNow marketing vision & strategy, identify key marketing opportunities, and provide clear direction on why it's important to outcome delivery. You lead a team of exceptional Marketing Planning Sr. Specialists and are responsible for the growth, retention, and strategic alignment of your team members inclusive of your member's performance and success.


You understand and prioritize the most critical areas within your portfolio for Marketing to focus on so we are clear on what we can influence and where we have the most impact.
You create, own, and share the PlayNow marketing roadmap and vision.
You build out data-informed overarching marketing strategies and objectives, continuously measure against outcomes and act in accordance with what is needed.
You collaborate with other Marketing leadership to build and align on long and short-term Marketing plans (solicit their input for marketing discipline strategies that will amplify delivery to outcomes).
As part of the Planning leadership team, you are actively building out the broader team’s understanding about performance, sharing insights and learnings with your peers, and fostering ways to share that knowledge more broadly.
You make complex marketing decisions for your portfolio in the best interest of the BCLC Corporate Strategy and our Marketing outcomes (in alignment with your marketing leadership peers).
You directly lead a team of Marketing Planning Sr. You help continue to foster a culture of collaboration and live up to BCLC’s values.


You understand what it means to be a business partner within a wide and diverse network of internal & external leaders at all levels.
You have exceptional holistic and strategic marketing acumen.
You are hyper-focused to evaluating against and delivering to marketing outcomes and know how to respond quickly when needed.
Experience in the gaming industry (online casino or sportsbook, physical casino).
Experience in performance marketing and digital metrics for eCommerce platforms.
Experience with Agile frameworks.
