We are currently recruiting for a Turnaround Logistics Coordinator for one of our major clients. The focal point for the Turnaround (T/A) event is responsible for the overall requirement to supply the Turnaround Organization with materials and logistical facilities and services. This includes temporary tools, consumable storage and facilities. Responsibility taken over by a Logistic engineer with the T/A preparation team to ensure all support are provided to achieve the T/A premises.
Scope of role includes all aspects of T/A preparation planning and execution, from strategy definition to lookbacks for learnings and future planning.
The incumbent interfaces with all functions within T/A to ensure Logistic needed during T/A is managed in accordance with the best practices and applicable standards.
Is the Logistic focal point for all scope undertaken during the event and provides clear support and direction to the T/A teams for the required discipline.
~"Initiate and maintain event logistics plan. Coordinate with on site entities to ensure areas are reserved as necessary for lay-down areas and meet facility siting guidelines.
~ Coordinate the preparation and execution of all logistic activity during T/A from scope selection to execution and reporting".
~ Provide guidance to TA Execution teams regarding logistic matters during preparation and execution.
~ Participates in the T/A review meetings (during preparation and execution) to ensure all logistics concerns are addressed.
~ Coordinate and identify staging and deliverables base on applicable job sites.
~ Participate in reviews of the work scope, plans and schedules to ensure Logistic requirement are understood and included in the plans
~ Ensure Facility Siting requirements are met and/or variances requested as necessary. Utilize contacts at other regional sites to borrow and lend BRM's as necessary.
~ Assist permit planning team coordinating of the placement of Area Rae's and ensuring the servicing and calibration of Area Rae monitors on unit.
~ Develop Cranage Plot Plan for placement/usage of all cranes.
~ Coordinate with Block and Field Coordinators the start/end dates for all rental equipment with on-site rental coordinator.
~ Coordinate with Security on Gate access and control, parking lots and bussing.
~ Coordinate with the main contractors the fuel service needs for all equipment and communicate/ensure proper schedule for servicing.
~ Food/Catering. Work with contractor to ensure that any food/catering contacts are cleared for site and schedules and locations remain compliant with overall plan
~ Work with contractor to ensure all necessary locations are identified for needs and service contracts are set up to maintain these facilities during the Pre and TA windows.
~"Waste Management and Control. Ensure waste management service contracts are in place and are being properly executed during the TA window. Ensure placement of dumpsters are in accordance with overall logistics plan and are efficiently capable of being removed and replaced.
~ Ensures environmental plan (waste disposal, lead/asbestos abatement, frac tanks, vac trucks, etc) is executed safely and efficiently."
~ Maintain BRM compound and tent as necessary including furniture, computers, copiers and miscellaneous IT equipment.
~ Communicates key issues and risks to the T/A Block Coordinator and Event Manager.
~ Provides a critique of turnaround activities after completion of project, participates in Lessons Learned and Lookback process.

A minimum of 5 years of field experience in Turnaround Logistics within Oil and Gas, Energy or heavy industrial settings, particularly having coordinator experience is required.
An educational background in the relevant field/equivalent.
Strong management skills, effective communication skills, and a track record of delivery to Asset/Facilities/Operational demands is needed.

Know that this is not a fly-in, fly-out rotation role.
Required to work on site in Kitimat, BC.
