Research and Evaluation Officer, Internationally Educated MRT (IEMRT) InitiativesPosition Summary:CAMRT is seeking a Research and Evaluation Officer to support a multi-year pilot project aimed at reducing barriers for foreign credential recognition and supporting the labor market integration of internationally educated medical radiation technologists (IEMRTs). Reporting to and working in collaboration with the Project Manager, the Research and Evaluation Officer conducts research to support project deliverables, participates in all aspects of program evaluation and contributes to project monitoring and reporting. This is a fully remote position, though some travel will be required to attend meetings and participate in project activities. Stakeholder engagement: IEMRTs, Provincial Regulatory Colleges, MRT subject matter experts, external contractorsDuties and Responsibilities1. Research and Data Management· Conducts retrospective and longitudinal data collection and analysis, encompassing both qualitative and quantitative data, to support project activities and goals.· Records, manages and preserves data in a safe and accessible manner.· Regularly monitors data quality standards. This includes providing regular feedback and support on data verification, data entry and data quality issues.· Conduct focus group identify key themes and insights.2. Evaluation and Reporting· Develops monitoring and evaluation tools, including surveys, interview guides and other data gathering methods.· Implement and adjust comprehensive and strategic evaluation activities in collaboration with the Project Manager.· Prepares ongoing summary reports of various data sources, and collaborates with Project Manager and project team on data presentation, interpretation, and writing of publications, etc.o Extracts results from data sets, summarize findings, and incorporate pertinent information into project presentations and reports.· Assists in the monitoring of day-to-day project activities.· Supports quarterly reporting of progress and deliverables. 3. Project Support· Participates in the formulation of project work plans by designing procedures and implementation plans.· Coordinates project timelines, workflows, priorities, and internal and external communication.· Participates in meetings and prepares necessary materials when required. Serves as the note taker during meetings when asked. · Performs preliminary database searches/citation reviews to support project activities and subject matter experts.· Assist with onboarding and ongoing support of clinical sites for the OJS program.4. Other duties · Attends stakeholder and other relevant meetings and/or training. · Maintains collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.· Any other related duties as assigned by the Project Manager. The ideal candidate will have: · A bachelor’s degree in a related field (ex: health science, statistics/psychometrics, evaluation), or equivalent education and experience.· Substantial research experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.· An understanding of MRT practice or healthcare delivery, including current challenges· Knowledge of and experience with a variety of evaluation strategies and measurement approaches.· Strong critical and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.· Excellent organization skills and high attention to detail. · A high level of written and oral communication skills.· Experience in writing reports and strategic materials is preferred.· Bilingual (French, English) considered an asset.
