Position Summary: CCWESTT is seeking a dynamic, innovative and skilled individual to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This is a part time contract position (approx. 18 hours per week) beginning immediately and ending March 31, 2026 with the possibility of increased hours pending performance and funding availability. The rate of pay is $35 per hour. The successful candidate will work from their independent office and be able to accommodate occasional travel.

Reporting to the CCWESTT Project Manager, the Project Coordinator is responsible for maintaining partnerships with stakeholders and employers, planning and facilitating activities and events, and ensuring timely delivery of key activities.

Location: this is a remote position, with an independent office setup.

Organization Description: CCWESTT (Canadian Coalition of Women in Engineering, Science, Trades and Technology) is a national not-for-profit coalition of organizations and individuals who champion a gender-equitable, diverse, and inclusive Canadian SETT sector. We build alliances and partnerships, act as a resource hub, and advocate with a strong, unified voice.

Project Description: Through the Skilled trades workplaces: engaging and mobilizing men as allies to end gender-based violence project, CCWESTT will work collaboratively with partners across British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario and Nova Scotia to strengthen the GBV impact sector by scaling multiple promising practices and addressing systemic factors in skilled trades workplaces. Using a systems change model of scaling out, scaling up and scaling deep, this project will engage and mobilize men as allies to prevent and end GBV in skilled trades workplaces.

Responsibilities: We are seeking a committed and skilled coordinator with excellent communications skills and strong strategic thinking. Responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and employers to further the objectives of the project;
  • Leading the coordination of workshops, events and forums;
  • Coordinating with project partners to ensuring timely completion of project activities;
  • Collecting data relating to the project objectives, and analyzing relevant reports, standards, and emerging practices;
  • Contribute to developing a strategy to provide ongoing workshops;
  • Ensuring expenses are reported accurately and responsibly;
  • Successfully completing project activities on time according to the work plan;
  • Work collaboratively with CCWESTT Board, team members, project partners and participants;
  • Perform other emerging project duties as identified.

Relevant Experiences and Skills:

Skills and experiences of the successful candidate will include:

  • A post-secondary education diploma/degree in a related field;
  • Strong networking and outreach skills with community not-for-profit groups, women’s organizations, and employers;
  • Knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion challenges particularly those limiting the participation and advancement of women in the workplace;
  • Ability to collect and analyze data including community based participatory research;
  • Skills in event planning, both virtual and in-person;
  • Experience executing projects;
  • Ability to work independently in a collaborative team environment with project team, partners, participants;
  • Excellent time management, planning, and followthrough.
  • Strong writing competencies and oral communication skills, and proficiency in productivity and collaboration software (such as Google or Microsoft Suite).

The following skills and experiences would be an asset:

  • Experience working in the field of skilled trades or technology;
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in systemic change related to gender-based violence and engaging men as allies;
  • Experience in relationship management with skilled trades industry;
  • Bilingualism in French and English;
  • Experience facilitating workshops related to EDI.
