Altitude Aerospace est à la recherche d’un Responsable de l’équipe Conception qui souhaiterait rejoindre une entreprise dynamique, flexible et en forte croissance à Montréal. Dans le cadre de ses fonctions le concepteur mécanique apportera son support aux projets de développement et/ou de modification d’aéronef :
Ce poste relève directement du directeur de l'ingénierie.
Le responsable de l’équipe conception est responsable et imputable de la performance et de la mobilisation de toute l’équipe de conception. Il supervise, dirige et coordonne les équipes de travail et s'assure de l'efficacité, de l'efficience et de la conformité des travaux effectués.

VOS PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITES :
• Gérer l'allocation des ressources aux projets en fonction de leur disponibilité et de leur capacité;
• Planifier et coordonner le travail de ses équipes et assurer sa qualité ;
• Identifier et planifier le soutien nécessaire en termes de formation ;
• Assurer un support quotidien à ses leads techniques ;
• Favoriser un environnement de travail mobilisateur, collaboratif et stimulant pour les équipes ;
• Soutenir le VP développement des affaires dans la rédaction des propositions aux clients;
• Soutenir les ressources humaines dans la planification de la main-d'œuvre, l'embauche et les plans de développement des équipes.
• Participer à la planification et à l'anticipation des besoins de développement des compétences afin de rester aligné avec la stratégie organisationnelle.

Altitude Aerospace is looking for a Head of Design Group who would like to join a dynamic, flexible and rapidly growing company in Montreal. As part of his duties, the mechanical designer will provide support to aircraft development and / or modification projects:

This position reports directly to the director of engineering.
The Head of Design is responsible and accountable for the performance and mobilization of the entire design team. He supervises, directs and coordinates work teams and ensures the effectiveness, efficiency and compliance of the work carried out.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Manage resources’ allocation to projects based on their availability and capacity;
• Plan and coordinate the work of its teams and ensure its quality;
• Identify and plan the necessary support in terms of training;
• Provide daily support to its technical leads;
• Foster a mobilizing, collaborative and stimulating work environment for teams;
• Support the VP business development in writing proposals to clients;
• Support human resources in workforce planning, hiring and team development plans.
• Participate in planning and anticipating skills development needs in order to remain aligned with the organizational strategy.

Profil recherché

VOS QUALIFICATIONS :
• Minimum de 8 ans d'expérience en conception structurelle.
• Expérience avec le processus de soumission pour de nouveaux projets de développement ou de modification d'avions.
• Une expérience antérieure en gestion d'équipe ou une formation sur des sujets managériaux est un atout.
• Connaissance des exigences et des procédures AS9100.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 8 year’ experience in structural design.
• Experience with quotation process for new development or aircraft modification projects.
• Previous experience in team management or training in managerial topics is an asset.
• Knowledge of AS9100 requirement and procedures.
