HEALWELL AI is looking for an Executive Director of Site Network Development to help us build Canada’s most extensive clinical research network. Working closely with the leadership of HEALWELL AI, leadership of WELL Health (our strategic partner), Biopharma & WELL physicians, you will be tasked with strategic & operational leadership of this company strategic priority.

The Executive Director of Site Network Development requires the same high degree of business acumen and entrepreneurial drive that helped us get to where we are today. You have a bias for action, and you bring experience and expertise in building late-stage clinical trials networks.

Position Summary:

The Executive Director of Site Network Development will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s patient-enrollment and late-stage clinical trial capabilities by establishing a robust network of investigator and patient sites utilizing he WELL Health network of primary care and specialty clinics. This leader will spearhead efforts to build, scale, and optimize a wholly owned, high-performance network to support Phase II to Phase III and post-market clinical studies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in late-stage clinical trial management, site selection, and network expansion, with strong industry relationships and strategic insight into regulatory and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Development and Management:

a. Design, implement, and expand a network of wholly owned investigator sites to support patient trials across multiple therapeutic areas.

b. Establish and maintain partnerships with high-quality research institutions, investigators, and clinical sites to ensure readiness and capacity for patient enrollment.

c. Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify ideal sites based on study protocol requirements and geographic strategy.

2. Operational Excellence and Oversight:

a. Collaborate with clinical operations and trial management teams to ensure seamless coordination and efficient trial execution across sites.

b. Develop and manage processes for site support, training, and performance monitoring, ensuring consistency with trial protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and regulatory standards.

c. Address site challenges, resolving issues promptly to maintain recruitment targets, compliance, and overall trial quality.

3. Relationship Management and Stakeholder Engagement:

a. Establish and nurture long-term partnerships with investigators, site staff, and clinical research professionals to foster a high level of engagement and cooperation.

b. Serve as the primary point of contact for investigator sites and HealWell AI leadership, delivering clear communication and regular updates on study progress while leading and representing HealWell AI’s patient trial capabilities to research leaders and key stakeholders in the field.

4. Strategy and Continuous Improvement:

a. Develop a strategic roadmap for network expansion and improvement to support future patient enrollment and late-phase trials and increase study scalability.

b. Monitor and analyze site performance metrics, generating insights to drive continuous process improvement and optimize trial timelines.

c. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to inform best practices and innovative approaches in site management.

Qualifications:

· Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, or a related field required;
advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in clinical research, health sciences, or related discipline preferred.

· Experience :
Minimum 10 years of experience in clinical trial management, with at least 8 years in patient enrollment and late-stage (Phase III/IV) clinical trials.

· Leadership Experience :
Proven experience in building and managing clinical networks or large-scale site operations;
prior experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

· Skills :

o Strong understanding of clinical trial protocols, regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA, ICH-GCP), and industry best practices.

o Excellent project management, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.

o Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and build lasting relationships with investigators and site teams.

o Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sites and projects simultaneously and to meet tight timelines.
