Must haves:

  • Eligible for Reliability level Federal Security clearance is mandatory.
  • 5+ years’ hands-on experience in SAP HCM modules, design, and development and/or configuration.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Solution, Infrastructure, Business or Data Architect, or technical leader in large projects.
  • 2+ years’ experience designing, developing and/or configurating data integrations between SAP HCM and HCM cloud (SaaS) applications.
  • 8 years’ experience in progressively advancing roles within IT.

TITLE

Solution Architect (HR) – Senior

SCOPE

We are looking for a passionate Solution Architect to join the ERP Program where they will have an opportunity to grow their architecture skills while contributing to the major transformational projects for Canada Post

Reporting to the HR Solution Lead (SL) on the ERP Evolution Program, the Architect (“SA”) translates business requirements into solution architecture that complies with enterprise architectural standards and roadmaps. This role is pivotal in delivering and maintaining a solution that best suits business requirements. The SA has a wide breadth of knowledge on how various technological components work together to deliver desired functionality. The Solution Architect analyzes current application and infrastructure technology to determine its ability to support the solution and creates relevant conceptual solution and solution map to be referenced by Business Analysist, developers and configuration specialists during the functional design and build process. The Solution Architect is a senior role in the architecture family. The solution architect is expected to be an expert in one or more architecture areas (application, infrastructure, data, security, etc.). The SA works with the Business Solution Delivery teams and the business partners to define solution roadmaps for a specific technology within a specific domain. This individual collaborates with the Solution Lead, the Project Manager/Delivery team, and the Architecture COE to facilitate integration across solutions and technologies within a specific domain.

DUTIES

  • Provide leadership in architecture and technical design for subdomains of ERP functional area, focusing on the Human Capital Management (HCM) product area, and ensure design is consistent and well integrated with existing conceptual, logical, and physical architectures, in collaboration with the Business Architect.
  • Collaborate with SL and Architecture COE on the solution design to ensure it complies with enterprise architectural standards and roadmaps
  • Facilitate and enable the integration of applications, services and business processes using common methodologies
  • In collaboration with the Enterprise Architect and the Architecture COE, research and evaluate software technology, products and solutions, and make recommendations on technology/production introduction, phase-out and retirement in the HCM area.
  • Work across the ERP domain (including OTC, Finance, Procurement, HCM, and CRM) to understand and leverage common solution components where appropriate

DURATION AND POTENTIAL START DATE

ASAP. Targeting September 25th. Looking to complete interviews the week of Sept 18th. Manager would prefer candidates that already have security clearance.

1 year contract. Possibility of extension.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

Must Have :

  • 5+ years’ hands-on experience in SAP HCM modules, design, and development and/or configuration and documentation.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Solution, Infrastructure, Business or Data Architect, or technical leader in large projects.
  • 2+ years’ experience designing, developing and/or configurating data integrations between SAP HCM and HCM cloud (SaaS) applications.
  • 8 years’ experience in progressively advancing roles within IT
  • Knowledgeable in release / deployment management

Nice to have :

  • Experience with SAP programing, ABAP, CDS view, Fiori, Java and Java script.
  • Multi-processing/concurrent programming experience
  • SAP BTP experience
  • Experience using Jira for Agile software development
  • Experience with Health, Safety and Employee Relations management processes.

LOCATION OF WORK
