The RoleWe are hiring a Senior Solutions Architect with a cloud focus to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will be most interested in working with enterprises to adopt modern data systems with foundational cloud infrastructure elements. The Senior Solutions Architect will work closely with our engineering team which includes architects and engineers in Cloud, Data and Machine Learning. This role will also from time to time collaborate with technical leadership and the sales and marketing teams to contribute thought leadership for customers in our sales pipeline and marketing strategies.As Sr. Solutions Architect, you will spend the majority of your day devising cloud-native architectures, data migrations and solutions to solve complex business and technology problems. You will be most concerned with identifying the optimal infrastructure components to power Data Platforms, Enterprise Data Warehouses, as well as application workloads. At Bitstrapped we enable Solutions Architects to also contribute to the deployment and configuration of their solutions. The ideal candidate should prefer to spend a portion of their time with implementation.The RoleImplement Enterprise-level Google Cloud architecturesDesign and architect scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, frameworks, and guidelines.Evaluate and recommend cloud-native services and solutions to meet client requirements.Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals and technical requirements.Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.Conduct technical workshops, training sessions, and presentations for clients and internal teams.Architect Analytics systems comprised of concepts including Data Platforms and Enterprise Data Warehouses, Business Intelligence, Databases, as well as containerized workloads with DockerStrong understanding of Microservice-based architecture, APIs, and application deploymentsExperience with migration of legacy and on-premise systems such as Oracle JDE, MySQL, and application workloadsExperience working with enterprise standards for networking, security, and performanceExperience working closely with technical project management and delivery management to contribute and assist in scoping, project plans, and estimationDevelop detailed data migration project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, milestones, and deliverables, based on the scope and requirements of the migration projectAnalyze the source data in legacy systems and map it to the target data structure in the new environment, ensuring data compatibility and consistencyCollaborate with data engineers to profile source data and identify potential data quality issues, developing data cleansing and transformation strategies as neededMaintain comprehensive documentation of data migration processes, methodologies, and outcomes for future reference and knowledge sharingDevelop comprehensive data validation plans and conduct rigorous testing to verify the accuracy and completeness of the migrated dataMinimum Qualifications5+ years experience as a solutions architect in an enterprise environment, with the ability and interest to support up to 3 client accounts at any given timeAt least 3 years experience with Google Cloud PlatformExperience being the technical lead on architecture decisions, collaborating with other engineering and IT staff, as well as the client teams to get the full picture and requirementsGoogle Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification preferredKnowledge of Microsoft Azure and AWS clouds are beneficial1+ years’ experience with DevOps infrastructure automation tools (Terraform).Experience with one or many CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, CicleCI, Bitbucket, and additional DevOps Technologies.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a mustExperience in at least one programming language, preferably GoLang, PythonExperience with a programming language is a nice to haveTechnical SkillsEnterprise Cloud ArchitecturesGoogle Cloud Platform expertise is preferredAWS, Azure experience is a bonusKubernetes, Cloud Run, Docker, TerraformDataflow, BigQuery, AlloyDB, CloudSQLCloud Networking and SecurityCI/CD: Github, GitLab, Jenkins or BitbucketApplication Architectures in the Cloud: NodeJS, Python, Java, or equivalentDatabases: Oracle, SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, RedisLinux server configurationsBenefitsHealth benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverageSubsidy for certificationsSubsidies for home-office equipmentAssistance for fitness plansAbout BitstrappedBitstrapped is a fast-growing data engineering and cloud consulting company.
