We are currently seeking a Security Compliance Specialist to join our team of experienced professionals located at our head office in Kitchener, ON.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Work with our cyber discipline team to develop the compliance checks and balances for each project milestone
  • Ensure our project teams understand the "Why?" for our new customer expectations and requirements
  • Ensure our solutions comply with our requirements and our customer requirements
  • Validate & document that we have met our in-house criteria for each milestone
  • Ensure we are complying with our SOC 2 Type II high level policies
  • Understand the NIST CSF framework and the 106 NIST sub-category topics, and help us develop the checks and balances to measure our progress implementing these controls
  • Educate our delivery teams through one-on-one meetings and group lunch and learns
  • Contribute to the Brock cybersecurity discipline team
Qualifications Required:
  • Strong communication skills (listening and persuasive speaking)
  • Understanding out project delivery methodology
  • Passion for cybersecurity and helping project teams deliver secure solutions for our customers
  • Ideal to have some knowledge of NIST CSF, NIST SP 800 series, IEC 62443, Essential 8, CIS, ISO 27001, or SOC 2, but not necessary
  • Ability to travel if needed

A typical day in the life of this role would be working with our project teams, our customers, and our cyber team to ensure our customer's compliance measures are being met. This includes educating our project teams through daily interactions, helping us refine our checks and balances, ensuring that vulnerably scans and the resulting remediation is complete at a FAT or SAT, and ensuring our access control is robust such as no default passwords.
