Sales Engineer

About the Company: Our client, an Italian manufacturer of geotechnical instruments, catering to government organizations, heavy construction companies, and service providers in the US and Canada is looking for a dynamic Sales Engineer to join their team and help them grow in the market.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sales Engineer with a strong background in geotechnical instruments, mining, and construction industries. The ideal candidate will have an established network in the industry and be able to start contributing immediately. This role combines technical expertise with sales acumen to provide solutions to our clients, working in a hybrid environment with travel requirements between the US and Canada.
Develop and maintain relationships with government organizations, heavy construction companies, and service providers in the US and Canada.
Leverage existing industry networks to identify and close sales opportunities.
Provide technical expertise and support to clients, ensuring they understand the benefits and functionalities of our products.
Work closely with the engineering team to address client needs and customize solutions.
Achieve and exceed sales targets through effective account management and new business development.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients.
Negotiate contracts and manage the sales pipeline effectively.
Provide regular reports on sales activities and forecasts to the Managing Director.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required; a Master's degree or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the geotechnical, mining, or construction industries.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong technical background with the ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts.
Established network within the industry and ability to start contributing immediately.
Flexible compensation models including contract-based, permanent-based, or hybrid arrangements.
