Nesters Market* has an opening for a Grocery *Store Manage*r for our store located in *Gabriola, BC. *This role is *Full-Time*, Permanent and reports to the Vice President, Retail Operations.
*Oversee daily store operations, supervise employees and manage inventory
* Maintain store staffing levels to meet the needs of our customers, while operating within budgeted wage costs
* Monitor performance of staff and develop employees to their full potential
* Manage and motivate the team to increase sales, meet targets and exceed budgeted goals, while ensuring operational efficiency
* Analyze and compare sales data for effective merchandising
* Handle customer queries and complaints in a timely and professional manner
* Comply with the Company’s established Health and Safety and Food Safety policies and regulations, and ensure that staff members are also adhering to these policies
* Provide a safe and clean store environment to protect both staff and customers
* Building solid relationships with customers and vendors, while actively seeking new business development opportunities through networking and community events
* Previous grocery, retail and/or food service management experience
* Proven track record in driving sales and effective merchandising
* Demonstrated ability to build a cohesive management team within the store
* Willingness and availability to work a variety of shifts, including: Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings & Weekends
* Ability to ensure compliance of established company policies
* Excellent command of the English language both verbal and written
*Must be able to be on your feet for up to an entire 8-hour shift
*Relocation expense reimbursement is negotiable
