Reporting to the Director, Maintenance you will be responsible for implementing best practices and standard processes surrounding maintenance planning, providing a dedicated focus on enhancing operational efficiency and reduced operational costs. In addition, lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive apprenticeship and maintenance training program, increasing maintenance technician retention and creating a culture of continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive training program in cooperation with HR to upskill existing technicians and train new apprentices utilizing both online and in-class instruction.Develop technical expertise across the maintenance team, leading to improved equipment reliability, reduced downtime, and increased operational efficiency.Create and oversee the apprenticeship program and ensure objectives of the program are metPlanning and Scheduling/Maintenance Process LeadershipAssist in leading the planning and scheduling team, implementing best practices and processes for effective maintenance planning and scheduling.Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies.Standardize planning and scheduling to address PM/CM backlog and reduce OT via wrench time studies.Support and develop the maintenance team, including providing feedback and conducting formal evaluations, to ensure employees have the right resource skills, competencies, and expertise to meet departments and agreed-upon objectives of the companyInitiating corrective action to the team based KPIs, downtime and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) reports; to increase uptime and efficiency and reduce downtime and waste (labor, time, material, process, part)Continuous ImprovementResponsible for continuously evaluating and improving maintenance processes, procedures, and methodologies. · Identify opportunities for process optimization, implement industry best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance function.Recipe for Success:Completion of college diploma in Engineering or a related field4 years’ experience Managing teams3 years’ experience within the Food Manufacturing industryProject Management Profession (PMP) CertificateAn excellent problem solver with strong troubleshooting skillsAdvanced working knowledge on mechanical/electrical systems and components; including, but not limited to, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Pumps, Gear Boxes, Power Transmission, Material Handling, Sensor, Transmitters, DC and AC circuits, Transformers, Power and Energy, Arc FlashWhat we can offer:It’s an exciting time to be part of the Give & Go team as we are growing rapidly and want you to become a part our growth and extraordinarily bright future.As we grow, we are committed to preserve the parts of our diversity & culture that is unique, people focused and are core to our success at every size.
