JOB OVERVIEW

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for building an incredible candidate experience and bring best practices to the table to help us continuously improve how we attract and recruit talent across Canada and the USA. We are looking for someone that is eager to continue their career in Recruiting, that is results-oriented, professional and an out-of-the-box thinker.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

§ Support the execution of the full cycle recruitment process with activities ranging from creating and posting jobs, sourcing candidates, pre-screening resumes, scheduling interviews, administering assessments, checking references, and coordinating onboarding logistics

§ Effectively manage the inbound flow of internal and external candidate applications including referrals in our applicant tracking system

§ Evaluate candidates based on values and competency framework, and run a comprehensive end-to-end selection process and support the hiring manager with the decision-making process

§ Ensure a high-quality candidate and customer (internal stakeholder) experience by providing transparency and progress updates on a regular cadence

§ Build effective networks and relationships to maintain a strong pipeline of top talent

§ Ability to cold call and contact potential candidates through various social media means

§ Conduct research through various platforms to create a potential list of candidates to contact

§ Maintain database via applicant tracking system- Workable

§ Arrange Interviews and complete reference checks as required

§ Maintain weekly job vacancy spreadsheet

§ Assisting with monthly open job vacancy email blasts to all employees

§ Maintain employee referral list

§ In accordance with company policy/ESA; overtime, work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the company

§ All other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

§ Completion of Post Secondary Education

§ Minimum 2 to 5 years of recruiting experience in-house or at an agency level

§ Recruiting experience in a manufacturing environment considered a strong asset

§ Exceptional communication (both written and spoken), and great negotiation skills

§ Strong MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

§ Strong organizational skills and ability to function in a fast-paced team environment

§ Great interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail and analytical skills

§ Commitment to delivering results under tight deadlines

§ Experience working with applicant tracking systems

§ Able and willing to travel as required
