Talent Acquisition Specialist

Our client, located in Mississauga ON, is in search of a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their team. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will possess demonstrated expertise in managing the full-cycle recruitment process, including recruiting for roles ranging from entry-level to senior positions and assessing candidates for both technical and soft skills. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and adopt a strategic approach to develop a proactive talent pipeline, ensuring readiness and alignment with organizational needs.
Main Responsibilities & Duties:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment process including sourcing applicants, screening resumes, interviewing candidates, and providing a shortlist to hiring managers
- Collaborate with Management to identify personnel needs, and conduct intake meetings with hiring managers to gain a thorough understanding of job specifications, duties, qualifications, and required skills
- Provide subject matter expertise in recruitment for all departments, with the capability to coach hiring managers on the hiring process
- Develop and maintain a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need, ensuring a current and active talent pipeline
- Keep accurate track of candidates and job openings within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Excel
- Ensure that all screening, hiring, and selection processes comply with employment laws and regulations
- Develop and promote talent acquisition initiatives that enhance the quality and efficiency of the recruitment processes
Requirements:
- Post-Secondary education in Human Resources or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years full cycle recruiting experience with proven success in sourcing and placing candidates within niche markets
- Excellent candidate search skills, with the ability to source active and passive candidates
- Demonstrated experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, including experience with Boolean sourcing
- Experience working with an ATS and Excel
- Willingness to acquire industry knowledge
Qualifications & Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a natural ability to build trusting relationships
- Knowledgeable about sourcing techniques and recruitment strategies
- Skilled in conducting interviews that assess behaviors and competencies
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously and meet all hiring deadlines
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently
- Ability to operate with a high sense of urgency while not compromising on attention to detail
- Experienced in handling sensitive and personal information with discretion and professionalism
