Job Summary/MissionWe are looking for an experienced marketing professional who can deliver industry leading trade marketing programs to our retail partners, growing sales of TallGrass brands. You would accomplish this by developing annual trade marketing plans in line with sales and marketing objectives and managing trade marketing budgets. In addition to this, you would coach and develop the TallGrass trade marketing team to produce successful promotions, sell sheets, POS materials, and events throughout the year. The Trade Marketing Manager reports to the Brand Manager. Outcomes/Critical Success FactorsTrade Marketing Program LeadershipProvide management and oversight on key trade marketing programs to deliver growth for TallGrass and our retail partners, meeting deadlines, staying on budget and achieving defined KPIsCo-op advertising, trade marketing campaigns and discountingIn-store demo programIndustry trade shows including but not limited to CHFA NOWRetail training program budgetingEnsure brand promotional plans as defined by brand managers are properly implemented with our retailer customersProvide sales team with trade marketing tools to support implementation of channel-specific and/or retailer specific marketing strategiesConceptualize and execute impactful in-store campaigns in collaboration with brand and sales teamsDevelop understanding of TallGrass marketing budgets to both manage assigned budgets and provide guidance and insight to sales team for budgets they utilize on a day-to-day basisEnsure production timelines for Trade Marketing sell sheets, displays, POS, coupons and other as materials as needed are metAct as the key liaison with TallGrass sales leadership team to ensure trade marketing programs are meeting the needs of sales team and our retail partnersPresent key trade marketing initiatives and results to TallGrass sales teamLead the monthly Trade Marketing Meeting with sales and company leadershipDevelop interdepartmental understanding and relationships to better understand impacts of trade marketing programs on other TallGrass teamsUtilize a data driven approach to decision making and planning for future program changesKeep abreast of industry best practices and look for ways to implement within the TallGrass trade programsVisit local points of sale to ensure that brands are visible and guidelines are respectedTrade Marketing Team CoachingCoach a team of specialists and coordinators responsible for the day-to-day implementation of trade marketing programs and events, developing their skillsets and growth within TallGrassOversee Trade Marketing Coordinator’s planning & implementation of industry and consumer trade showsTake brand supplied content and work with Trade Marketing Production Specialist to ensure actionable briefs are produced to create new product sell sheets, promotional campaigns, and POS materialProvide feedback and direction on creative projects ensuring finished projects are effective and meet guidelines as defined by TallGrass brand partnersMaintain an awareness of current packaging projects and ensure Trade Marketing Production Specialist has tools and support as neededLead the team to achieve defined company and departmental goalsCompetencies:Leadership – You are adept at leading a team and influencing and coordinating with different stakeholdersIt’s all in the details – You are exceptionally organized & detail orientedResourceful – You are a determined problem solver, can dig into issues and suggest solutionsMulti-tasker – You are able to thrive in a dynamic work environment with a multitude of projects on the go at onceExperienced – You have prior experience in trade marketing management and/or a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related fieldDependability – You can manage deadlines on a consistent basis.Skilled – You have demonstrated proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, bonus points for SAP Business OneCommunication – You clearly and effectively communicate, both written and verbally, internally and externallyPurpose - You are values aligned with TallGrass and our customersGreat Work Perks Competitive compensationFlexible WFH/In-office hybrid scheduleWellness program and health benefitsStaff product allowance and discountEducation assistancePaid time off to volunteerProfit sharing and savings planRegular team socials and company events
