The Senior HR Generalist at GeoComply is the driving force behind our North American offices, injecting vitality and efficiency into every corner. Working hand in hand with our HR Business Partners and People Operations team, they ensure that our HR operations are seamless and infused with a sense of purpose, making our workplace a vibrant hub of productivity and growth.
They support their teammates across our Canadian, European, and American offices in various Human Resources functions such as immigration processing, onboarding new hires, and offboarding employees.
HR Generalist who can ‘see around corners,’ has a strong attention to detail, and is always looking at how we can enhance and simplify HR processes to improve the employee experience at GeoComply.
HR Administration & Communications: Own the processing of all HR documentation and support processes, such as compensation and benefits.
Review accommodation requests, including medical documentation, while interacting with managers and HR Business Partners.
Participate in implementing employee engagement initiatives such as surveys and employee wellness programs.
Maintain internal HR communication channels through the company intranet and Slack to ensure information accessibility.
Onboarding/Offboarding: Lead the onboarding process to set up new teammates for success across North America, helping them to hit the ground running.
HR Compliance: Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with policies and regulations.
Maintain employee handbook as well as policies and procedures
Collaborate with stakeholders to determine document retention schedules and disposal guidelines in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement & Data Analyses and Reporting: Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and enhance operational efficiency while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Develop standard processes for all HR functions; ensure all manuals, policies, and technical documentation related to the HR department are developed and maintained.
Compile and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement and make recommendations for process enhancements based on data insights.
Immigration: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees seeking immigration-related guidance and support; provide timely and accurate information for employees requiring work authorization, including visa applications and renewals, while collaborating with external immigration attorneys to ensure compliance with applicable immigration laws and regulations.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to immigration cases, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to data protection laws.
Minimum 5+ years as an HR Generalist, HR Operations or equivalent experience
Adaptable and flexible with changing priorities
Have experience working with WorkDay
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or HR
