This is an exceptional opportunity for skilled writers with proven leadership and quality assurance experience, who are looking to work alongside a collaborative and supportive team.Your main goal in this role will be to display the experience and abilities of our company in clear and effective responses to Corporate Requests for Proposals, while performing a thorough Quality Assurance (QA) process to ensure final proposal submissions are in line with our established style and level of quality. This will occasionally require developing a strategy along with a bit of detective work, as you gain a clear understanding of each opportunity and work together with our team to develop a winning proposal.This role will rely on your resourcefulness, your writing ability, your time management skills, your attention to detail, and your skills within quality assurance and peer review. Each proposal will be its own project, with due dates and deadlines for which you will be accountable. You must be able to organize your time effectively to manage multiple, simultaneous deadlines on various bids, while also communicating with numerous team members to collaborate on proposal responses. This position requires strong problem-solving abilities, as well as a commitment to Altis’ Standard of Excellence for proposals.This role will also involve developing into a coaching and leadership opportunity over the course of six months, where you will transition into training and mentoring a team of proposal specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. You will be relied on for your instincts to inspire daily proposal activity through energy and initiatives, while providing daily coaching and support. It will call on your superb leadership abilities to create a vision that inspires and motivates your team members.Your main responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:Gaining an understanding of each opportunity by thoroughly reading the RFP and flagging any concerns with questions to the client for clarificationSupporting leadership team in identifying high value opportunitiesPerforming a thorough Quality Assurance (QA) process to ensure the final proposal submission is in line with our established style and level of qualitySupporting proposals team by conducting peer reviews for every bid prior to submissionDeveloping compelling questions where the client understands in order to gain a positive responseIdentifying which questions require new responsesResearching possible answers using several methods, including interviewing colleaguesWriting the answer so that it reflects our company and brand and is tailored to the question that the client is askingPreparing templates for the proposalsDeveloping a draft of the proposal for a quality reviewWriting an effective response to the RFP that is clear, concise and compliant with the requirementsManaging a bid calendar/scheduleSubmitting the proposal to ensure that all mandatory elements are sent to the client by the submission closing dateMaintaining a strong proposal repositoryMaintaining reports on proposal outcomes and lessons learnedReviewing websites to look for new opportunities to bid on to drive businessAdditional proposal support and tasks as required, including assisting other proposal teams in preparing responses to resource-driven RFPsDeveloping into a leadership opportunity, where you will be training and mentoring a team of proposal professionalsProblem solving while supporting the team with day-to-day issues and challengesShaping and promoting a positive, fun, and collaborative company culture that reflects the values of the organizationQualifications and ExperienceMinimum 5 years of writing experience within a professional setting required; can include grant writing, journalism, content writing, or previous proposal writing experienceProven experience within quality management of proposals or other contentProven experience in leadership/coaching team membersDemonstrates strong attention to detail with proven strengths in quality assuranceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsEffective time management skillsStrong technical abilitiesExcellent problem-solving abilitiesYou are a driven professional who is accountable and motivated for achieving and exceeding personal and team goalsA team player and natural leader with a passion for collaboration, coaching, developing, and growing a teamYou are naturally curious, ask a lot of questions, and enjoy learningEducation and CertificationsMinimum education required: University Degree or College DiplomaAt Altis, all-inclusive diversity is our strength.
