This position requires the ability to perform with little supervision in a rapidly evolving and ambiguous environment. Must be able to identify client needs and evaluate and determine best practices based on strategic direction of the client. This position requires the ability to work with all levels of staff (internal and external), utilizing clear, effective communication. May direct the work of Consultant level staff. Requires the ability to evaluate and communicate performance of other team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist PE Project Manager with system implementation tasks; assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements as defined by PE Project Manager

· Facilitate and coordinate implementation tasks with vendor to ensure requirements are identified and configured within system

· Manage, plan and coordinate payroll related activities (pre and post implementation) with the client and vendor to ensure goals of projects are accomplished within designated timeframe and budget

  • Identify and document interim and long term payroll related processes and procedures, making decisions based on skills and knowledge, with minimal data provided by client
  • Assist in creating or updating client processes and system utilization to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, identifying data requirements and implementing infrastructure to provide payroll data as needed for GL, journal entries, etc. and support ongoing business needs
  • Work with 3 rd party benefits vendors implementing processes to manage employee and payroll data exchanges (ex. 401(k)); document process for client as applicable
  • Participate in data audit, testing and validation tasks during implementation.
  • Data entry of all employee payroll data information, benefits enrollments, 401(k) and other data as required for accurate payroll processing
  • Full cycle payroll processing and all associated tasks as required by client.

· Escalate and address critical integration issues in a timely manner, drive corrective actions to mitigate issues. Ability to understand and summarize issues for executives

· Assist in payroll, HR staffing recommendations to support the strategic direction of the private equity company, as applicable

· Capable of creating detailed plans, proposals and presentations to help drive payroll and interdepartmental processes

· Indirectly manage planning and execution of post-merger activities related to payroll

· Assess complex situations, seek collaborative solutions with PM and prepare and present recommendations

· Provide written, quality documents to PE Project Manager for review and conversion to copyrighted documents before distribution to the client.

· Maintain successful PayTech, Client, Vendor and Private Equity relationship

  • Provide Status Report on a weekly basis to PE Project Manager

· Submit accurate and timely billing worksheets

· Submit accurate and timely expense reports per guidelines outlined in the Travel Policy.

· Varied travel may be required based on client requests

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in managing staff, teams, or projects is desired. Demonstrated understanding of payroll best practices. Strong computer skills, knowledge of MS Office products including Word, Excel and MS Project; expert working knowledge of multiple payroll related systems. Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform in a rapidly evolving environment. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and superior oral and written communication skills, including experience working with executive level management. Exhibits sound judgment, with ‘can do’ personality and the ability to handle ambiguity, making decisions without all the data. Ability to shift gears comfortably and effectively cope and adapt to change. Self-motivated with strong attention to detail. Current FPC Certification or CPP certification is desired. This position may require travel. When traveling this position frequently moves/ lifts luggage materials weighing up to 50 pounds. When not traveling, this position must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
