We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Care Aides or Personal Support Workers (PSW) to join our community home support team in Kamloops for weekends and overnights This role is best suited for a candidate with strong clinical knowledge, hands-on care experience, and the ability to work collaboratively within a small care team. All care is performed in our client's home, and the position involves personal care, medical support, and household responsibilities. Interior HomeCare Solutions has been providing nursing, rehabilitative, therapeutic, hospice, and assistive care services to children, adults, and seniors in the comfort of their homes for over 25 years. BENEFITS · Medical, dental and extended benefits upon successful completion of employment probation and meeting eligibility requirements · Employee Assistance Program · 24-hour on-call supervisor support · Paid kilometers between clients * *Flexible Schedule** RESPONSIBILITIES Perform required ADLs Using medical equipment if needed Catheter care, including emptying and changing bags as needed Prepare all meals and provide feeding support as required Administer medications at scheduled times with precision Support the client with daily routines, hygiene, and personal care Maintain documentation in line with the Client's care plan Assist in keeping the home clean, tidy, and safe Collaborate with the care team to develop, implement, and evaluate the Client's Lifestyle and Care Plans Maintain professional communication with the client, family members, and team members Participate in a multi-tasking and team-based care approach Support the vision, mission, and values of the care model and philosophy of service REQUIREMENTS Health Care Assistant (HCA) certificate or PSW equivalent Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle Knowledge of relevant care equipment (e.g., lifts, slings, scales) Knowledge of proper body mechanics and Routine Practices for infection control Understanding of delegated task protocols and documentation standards Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills Able to maintain strict confidentiality and understand legal aspects of documentation Skilled in mentoring and collaborating with care team members Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively in a care setting Physically and mentally fit for care responsibilities Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English OTHER TITLES Community Health Worker, Personal Support Worker, Care Aide We want to thank all candidates for their interest.
