Ergon has a current opening for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)Compliance Specialist that is responsible for communicating andassisting with regional implementation of EHS compliance programs inorder to help Ergon build a world class safety & health culture and onethat complies with all environmental regulatory requirements.

This position will be based out of Tulsa, OK, but the candidateselected for this position could reside and work remotely within theassigned territory.

EHS Compliance Specialist Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Safety or other technical degree\Knowledge of relevant regulatory and industry standards and bestpractices\Proven strong planning, organization and prioritization skills\Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills\Demonstrated strong leadership, consultative, and influencing skills\Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and solid analytical/problemsolving skills\Able to travel extensively (estimated 65%)

One or more professional certifications including: Certified SafetyProfessional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM),Professional Engineer (P.E.), and Certified Protection Professional(CPP) are preferred.

EHS Compliance Specialist Responsibilities:

Supports and promotes safe and healthy work practices and helps meetenvironmental commitments in alignment with company programs, policies,and initiatives\Provides EHS leadership to company locations in area of responsibility\Helps business units implement environmental programs and for allenvironmental media - e.g., air, water, wastewater, storm water, solidand hazardous waste\Inspects facilities to detect existing or potential EHS hazards. Workswith supported facilities to determine corrective or preventivemeasures, where indicated and monitors the status of corrective actionimplementation\Coordinate with Ergon Corporate EHS, Business Unit Management, andfacilities to ensure events are reported, investigated, and effectivecorrective actions taken\Support Business Unit Management during Ergon Corporate EHS Root CauseInvestigations\Trains and coaches facility management and employees regarding EHSresponsibilities and requirements\Consolidate and report EHS metrics and goals for regional plants on aroutine basis\Drive employee involvement and ownership in EHS activities
