This includes business planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and negotiations. The Director of Finance will ensure the company’s financial health and growth by managing its financial strategy, controlling financial risks, and ensuring compliance with regulations.Reports to:CEODuties & Responsibilities:Strategic Financial LeadershipDevelop and execute the financial strategy of the company in alignment with business objectives.Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive management team on financial matters.Develop financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic initiatives.Responsible for implementing, monitoring, analyzing and reporting on organizational KPI’s, both financial and operational, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve targeted performance outcomesFinancial Planning & AnalysisOversee the preparation and review of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.Develop and implement robust financial planning and analysis processes and organizational and financial KPI’s.Budgeting & ForecastingLead the annual budgeting process, including the development of department budgets and capital expenditure plans.Monitor and report on budget performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.Conduct regular financial forecasting to anticipate future financial performance and requirements.Risk Management & ComplianceEnsure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including GAAP/IFRS.Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.Identify and mitigate financial risks, including credit, market, operational, and compliance risks.Operational Financial ManagementOversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.Manage cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity to meet operational needs.Optimize working capital and manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.Set performance objectives, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance appraisals.Ensure the finance team has the necessary resources and training to perform effectively.Stakeholder EngagementAct as the primary financial spokesperson for the organization, presenting financial results and strategies to the board of directors, investors, and other stakeholders.Collaborate with other department heads to support overall company goals and objectives.Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial partners.Cultural Responsibilities:Treating all team members with respect and be an active contributor to building Colourific’s cultureCooperating with other team members and managementSupporting Colourific’s “One Team” mantraMaintain open dialogue with management to improve health, safety, and operational standards within the facility.Qualifications & Requirements:Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 10 years in a senior financial leadership role.Skills: Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and risk management.Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).Key Competencies:Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with executive leadership.Work EnvironmentThis position is an in-person role that operates in an office environment.
