The CFO will join our executive team and partner with and report to Ora’s CEO. We are looking for someone who is passionate about start-ups, has excellent communication skills, and can lead all aspects of finance for a company growing thru the early stages of Series A & B funding with very fast revenue growth. The CFO is responsible for maintaining Ora’s fiscal stability and they will collaborate with the executive management team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies. You will work closely with the CEO as a strategist and as a sounding board for both the financial management of Ora and the strategy followed. You’ll also work closely with the SVP and COO in planning and financing Ora’s growth.

Responsibilities

Financial

  • Lead Ora’s financial planning; evaluate & manage capital structure, fundraising initiatives, performance, and risks.
  • ·Ensure the CEO and Board decisions are financially sound regarding resources available and regulatory compliance.
  • Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel (Accounting, AR, AP, Payroll)
  • Develop strategies to increase return on investment and profitability.
  • Develop capital calls and oversee notice and collection.
  • Manage and coordinate the annual audit, tax returns, and ensure all fillings are completed within deadlines.
  • Maintain effective financial controls; oversee and review accounting tasks including tax and compliance.
  • Manage all company financial accounts including credit cards.

Operations

  • Establish cost structures, optimize productivity and capital efficiency while closely monitoring cash flows and taking the appropriate measures to improve net working capital.
  • Make sure that the operational activities are consistent with the company's internal controls. Ensure compliance with internal directives/procedures and external regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze internal operations and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement; produce reports for the business managers, and make suggestions to improve performance, if necessary.

Legal

  • Ensure Ora is in full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and government filings.
  • Coordinate legal processes for fund raising including final execution of all investor documents.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel on ad-hoc legal matters.

Reporting

  • Organize and deliver monthly, quarterly & annual reports on financials and legal.

Investor Relations

  • Coordinate regular shareholder communications including quarterly & annual report distribution.
  • Respond to ad-hoc investor requests regarding capital calls, commitments, compliance, tax, and other related matters.

About you

  • Ability to manage risks by ensuring that effective and efficient internal financial controls are in place without compromising operational efficiency and flexibility.
  • Extensive knowledge in taxes, grants, reporting
  • ·You have multiple event experience in raising money thru equity rounds as well as debt financing.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to make decisions based on the analysis of options.
  • A broad view of investment spending with appreciation of business needs, including making investment decisions that impact the bottom line in the short term but are crucial to achieving longer-term goals.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, including at least 3+ years in team management.
  • Experience with international operations is desired.
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

Le chef des finances se joindra à notre équipe de direction et travaillera en partenariat avec le chef de la direction d’Ora et relèvera de lui. Nous sommes à la recherche d’une personne qui se passionne pour les entreprises en démarrage, qui possède d’excellentes compétences en communication et qui peut diriger tous les aspects de la finance pour une entreprise en croissance au cours des premières étapes du financement des séries A et B, avec une croissance très rapide des revenus. Le DPF est chargé de maintenir la stabilité financière d’Ora et il collaborera avec l’équipe de la haute direction pour établir des objectifs, des stratégies, des plans et des politiques à long terme. Vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec le chef de la direction en tant que stratège et en tant que groupe de rétroaction pour la gestion financière d’Ora et la stratégie suivie. Vous travaillerez également en étroite collaboration avec le premier vice-président et le chef de l’exploitation pour planifier et financer la croissance d’Ora.

Responsabilités

Financières

  • Diriger la planification financière d’Ora ; évaluer et gérer la structure du capital, les initiatives de collecte de fonds, le rendement et les risques.
  • Veiller à ce que les décisions du PDG et du conseil d’administration soient financièrement saines en ce qui concerne les ressources disponibles et la conformité réglementaire.
  • Fixer des objectifs et superviser l’ensemble du personnel comptable et financier (comptabilité, comptabilité client, comptabilité fournisseur, paie)
  • Élaborer des stratégies pour accroître le rendement du capital investi et la rentabilité.
  • Élaborer des appels de capitaux et superviser les avis et la collecte.
  • Gérer et coordonner la vérification annuelle et les déclarations de revenus, et veiller à ce que toutes les tâches soient effectuées dans les délais prescrits.
  • Maintenir des contrôles financiers efficaces ; superviser et examiner les tâches comptables, notamment la fiscalité et la conformité.
  • Gérer tous les comptes financiers de l’entreprise, y compris les cartes de crédit.

Opérations

  • Établir des structures de coûts, optimiser la productivité et l’efficacité du capital tout en surveillant étroitement les flux de trésorerie et en prenant les mesures appropriées pour améliorer le fonds de roulement net.
  • S’assurer que les activités opérationnelles sont conformes aux contrôles internes de l’entreprise. Veiller au respect des directives/procédures internes et des exigences réglementaires externes.
  • Analyser les opérations internes et identifier les domaines de réduction des coûts et d’amélioration des processus ; produire des rapports à l’intention des responsables commerciaux et formuler des suggestions pour améliorer les performances, si nécessaire.

Reporting

  • Organiser et fournir des rapports mensuels, trimestriels et annuels sur les aspects financiers et juridiques.

Relations avec les investisseurs

  • Coordonner la communication régulière avec les investisseurs individuels, y compris la distribution des rapports trimestriels et annuels
  • Répondre aux demandes ponctuelles des LP concernant les demandes de fonds, les engagements, la conformité, la fiscalité et d’autres questions connexes.

A propos de vous:

  • Capacité à gérer les risques en veillant à ce que des contrôles financiers internes efficaces et efficients soient en place sans compromettre l’efficacité et la flexibilité opérationnelles.
  • Connaissances approfondies en matière de fiscalité, de subventions et de reporting
  • Vous avez une expérience multiple de la collecte de fonds au moyen d’actions et du financement par emprunt.
  • Solides compétences décisionnelles et capacité à prendre des décisions basées sur l’analyse des options.
  • Une vue d’ensemble des dépenses d’investissement en tenant compte des besoins de l’entreprise, y compris la prise de décisions d’investissement qui ont une incidence sur les résultats à court terme, mais qui sont essentielles à l’atteinte des objectifs à long terme.
  • Au moins 5 ans d’expérience à un poste similaire, dont au moins 3 ans en gestion d’équipe.
