PhotoSat is a Vancouver-based product-driven technology company that provides satellite-based elevation surveying and alteration mineral mapping. Our clients include mining companies, exploration companies, resource development companies, and engineering consulting firms engaged in a wide range of applications.

Your role at a glance:

We are looking for an experienced sales professional to join our Revenue Team as a B2B Technical Sales Executive. Reporting to the Head of Revenue, you will work closely with the Project Managers and Sales Development Representatives to manage the full sales cycle and grow PhotoSat's business.

  • Sales experience. You are an experienced sales professional with a proven track record of generating sales in a B2B environment. You are comfortable in a long sales cycle. You are patient, persuasive, and supportive with clients who require detailed technical information as part of the sales decision-making process.
  • Solid communication skills. You write a clear and concise emails to prospective clients and colleagues. You bring a professional and friendly presence to Teams calls and live presentations. You are a confident presenter who can explain technical concepts effectively.
  • Desire to learn. You are curious. You strive to understand products so you can act as a subject matter expert. You can perform thorough research independently to understand the needs of the client.
  • Industry knowledge. You have experience in the engineering, construction, and/or resource development industry. You are familiar with the challenges of large-scale project management and how data quality influences project success and efficiency.
  • Experience and education. This is a mid/senior position. You have 5-10 years of experience in B2B sales in a technical industry.

What you will do:

  • Identify new business opportunities. You will work with other Project Developers and other Sales Executives to identify and generate new business opportunities for PhotoSat. You will find the right people in the right businesses, and you will develop relationships with them.
  • Deliver technical presentations. You will work directly with our team of Sales Development Representatives to research, prepare, tailor, and deliver persuasive sales presentations for prospective clients.
  • Prepare technical proposals . You will prepare detailed technical proposals for clients. You will pitch the right products to the right clients.
  • Nurture and negotiate. You will patiently and persuasively work with clients to support their decision-making.
  • Prepare quotes. You will provide tailored estimates to the client’s quote request based on the scope of work needed.
  • Data entry. You will maintain your opportunities and accounts in our CRM. You will ensure that the CRM reflects the current state of the sales funnel.
  • Provide technical expertise. You will become a subject matter expert in PhotoSat’s products and services. You will assist clients and new staff in understanding the applications and benefits of PhotoSat’s technology in safe and responsible resource development projects.
  • Provide input to adapt products to meet client requirements. You will offer insights to ensure products are customized to align with client needs and preferences.

  • Attend industry events. You will attend and participate in industry events including client visits, conferences, webinars, and other in-person or online events. You will act as an ambassador for PhotoSat and advocate for best practices in the industries that we serve.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities. You will research and analyze industry trends and competitor strategies, providing insights to drive business decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Identify and develop new business partnerships. You will seek out and establish strategic alliances with potential partners, fostering relationships to expand our business network and drive growth.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients. You will maintain and grow our relationship and sales with existing and returning clients.
  • Develop sales strategies to achieve goals. Develop and implement sales strategies with the Project Developers and Sales Executives in order to achieve sales goals.
  • Train and supervise new staff. You will become one of the trainers for new staff in the revenue team.
  • Share your ideas. You will attend daily, weekly, and monthly meetings. Your ideas will become part of PhotoSat’s marketing/sales strategy and future business success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years sales experience (B2B)
  • Previous experience in SAAS B2B model
  • Experience in the mining, energy and construction industries.
  • Working knowledge of CRM such as Salesforce
  • Working knowledge of MS Sharepoint / MS Office
  • Working knowledge of LinkedIn and ZoomInfo
  • Working knowledge of Geospatial Concepts

Language Requirements:

Work Location, Schedule, and Compensation:

This is an office-based position. Our office is located in downtown Vancouver, close to transit and parking.
