POSITION TITLE: Change Conference Church Relations Coordinator Maternity Leave Replacement

POSITION TYPE: Church Relations Coordinator (16 hours/week) 

REPORTS TO: National Programs Manager

Primary Objective:

The Church Relations Coordinator with Change Conference, a program of Youth for Christ Canada, will assist with data entry related to Change Conference. This role will assist with day-to-day office functions, providing detailed reporting. Will be responsible for assisting with all mailings and data cleaning (5x annually). Will be a key contributor to our event marketing campaigns including calling, mailing, email correspondence, and establishing relationships within the Christian community on behalf of Change Conference through effective communication. This role expands the impact of Change Conference and YFC Canada to see every young person living fully in Christ.

Responsibilities:

SPIRITUAL AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT (5%)

  • Is a faithful and contributing member of a local church.
  • Prays for and with the YFC Canada Team.
  • Spends time in spiritual reflection and development.

SUPPORT OPERATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS (80%)

  • Assists in the execution of event marketing plans (x3) and all communications related to Change Conference promotion.
  • Responsible for calling respective correspondence for all events. 3 major calling campaigns annually.
  • Research new churches in Canada, adding names and contacts to the database.
  • Assist with establishing good relationships and noting/recording key area leaders.
  • Assist with the data transfer project from Constant Contact to Hubspot.
  • Perform database maintenance and schedule sorting and confirmation of contacts, re-engagement letters, unresponsive contacts, incorrect emails etc.
  • Clean data lists annually, regularly adding new contacts and updating existing records.
  • Responsible for execution of all major mailings (5x annually) as well as promotional or fundraising mailings.
  • Key contributing member to the summer calling campaigns, responsible for assisting summer students in their roles.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

PARTNER DEVELOPMENT (10%)

  • Partnership Development – which includes securing and maintaining a sound base of financial & prayer partners to a level sufficient to fund the salary and immediate costs of this position.
  • Build a base of prayer partners and keep them updated through regular communication and prayer requests. Encourage prayer partners to pray for the youth in Canada and globally.
  • Contribute to the overall fundraising for Change Conference – sponsors, businesses, individual supporters etc.

MEETINGS/ADMINISTRATION (5%)

  • Meet with supervisor regularly
