Our client, a prominent Toronto law firm is currently looking for an Employment Litigation Assistant. A mid-sized law firm specializing in a wide range of practices.
Office conveniently located in Toronto’s Financial District


Dealing with all aspects of the Ontario Labour Relations Board, Human Rights Tribunal, Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, Divisional Court and Court of Appeal;
- Draft and revise legal documents, (of motion records, Affidavits of Documents, Bills of Costs) and correspondence;
- Assist with docketing, billing, and cheque requisitions;
- Organizing and maintaining bring forward system to ensure that all limitation periods are met, including managing a busy partner’s and junior lawyer’s schedule;
- Manage email accounts and calendars for lawyers;
- Assist with docketing, billing, invoices, and expenses;
- Draft/proofread and open/ close legal files; Must have successfully completed a community college legal assistant course;
- 7+ years of experience in labour and employment law with a specific focus on litigation;
- Working knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure and court procedures;
- Understanding of applicable provincial and federal laws;
- Strong computer skills, ACL, Elite 3E and other Microsoft Office softwares;
