Vice President, Finance

Role:

Reporting to the President of NEPI the Vice President, Finance would manage a team of accountants and analysts and provide overall leadership to the day-to-day financial operations of the company such as Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Reporting, Cost Control, Audit, Payroll, Corporate Governance, and Commercial Oversight. The Vice President of Finance will also act as Business Partner to Sales and Operations.

Responsibilities

· Work closely with the President of NEPI and the CFO of NAC International on strategic planning and strategic growth initiatives (organic growth as well as M&A).

· Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll, and tax preparation.

· Establish and maintain manufacturing costing standards.

· Develop appropriate tracking methods for revenue and expenses.

· Work with Operations and Sales to ensure fiscal targets are met.

· Oversee development, oversight, and management of the organization's investment plan.

· Lead and manage the annual budgeting process.

· Gather financial data for analysis and forecasting with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance.

· Manage insurance coverage for the organization.

· Oversee regular business reviews and corporate risk management.

· Ensure that the company complies with all applicable federal and provincial tax laws and regulations specific to the nuclear manufacturing sector.

· Own all aspects of Finance operations, including Regular financial reporting (e.g. preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements), forecasts, planning, budgeting, financial analysis, cash management, and procurement. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting.

· Audit and improve productivity and effectiveness of financial operations

· Manage and supervise all AR/AP cycles with external partners and customers - including the implementation of accounting and billing systems and controls.

· Ensure Cash Flow is optimized.

· Ensure that cost effectiveness in operations are occurring through detailed reviews of transactions.

· Take ownership of investments

· Conduct regular audits of expenditures, assets and liabilities.

· Lead the Corporate Governance function and ensure that the company has adequate levels of governance and oversight across the board.

· Manage commercial oversight of incoming and outgoing orders and contracts.

· Participate in proposals for new business by ensuring that assumptions and costing rates are accurate, and the new business is profitable.

Candidate Qualifications

· An Accounting designation (CPA) is required. MBA from a reputed school would be a plus.

· At least 10-15 years experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment. Nuclear industry experience preferred.

· Knowledge and skills in preparing monthly financial statements.

· Experience with Financial Planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting.

· Experience in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics / NAV experience would be an asset)

· Knowledge of Canadian GAAP (IFRS or ASPE).

· Experience processing payroll through (ADP system experience preferred).

· A strong sense of discretion and confidentiality.

· The ability to work well independently and support various levels of leadership, management and departments.

· Meticulous record keeping skills and strong attention to detail.

· Outstanding organizational skills.

· A strong work ethic, diligence, and commitment.

· A proven track record of strong problem-solving skills.

· The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with the ability to meet tight deadlines and complete multiple assignments.

· Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

· Excellent communication, and presentation skills both written and verbal.
