Job Title: Payroll Analyst/ Time Analyst Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid- 3 Days in office) Length: 12 Month Contract (Potential for Extension) Rate: Up to $49/hour The Payroll/ Time Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of time and absence records across multiple jurisdictions. This position is responsible for auditing time entries, managing vacation and leave data, and reconciling discrepancies between SAP and Workday systems. The analyst will collaborate with HR teams, payroll, and business units to uphold employment standards and support a seamless employee experience. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular audits (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) for new hires, leave cases, banked time, holiday pay, and student entries. Reconcile time entries between SAP and Workday to ensure consistency and accuracy. Manage vacation, personal, and banked time for Canadian and U.S. (non-union) employees, including: International assignees, LTD/STD cases, Students and part-time staff, Special leave scenarios requiring individualized review Coordinate with Payroll to ensure correct payouts and deductions. Update and audit employee schedules in SAP and Workday. Monitor and resolve integration failures (INT079, INT070) to maintain system integrity. Apply union and non-union employment practices appropriately. Ensure correct use of time-off codes and vacation payout procedures. Respond to inquiries from employees and leaders regarding time entry, vacation, and leave policies. Assist leaders with time approval issues, especially during organizational changes or system updates. Maintain detailed audit logs and process documentation. Generate reports for internal stakeholders (e.g., vacation balances, time coding summaries). Qualifications: 3-5 years of payroll and/or related experience Strong analytical skills with the ability to dig into data in SAP and Workday , isolate issues, and provide actionable solutions. Proficiency in SAP and Workday time tracking modules Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) General working knowledge of ServiceNow and SharePoint. Ability to interpret and apply employment policies, union agreements, and legislative requirements. Experience supporting some union payroll processes (specific union experience not required).
