Job Description Mission CIMA+ plays an important role in terms of occupational health and safety. Our teams work on large-scale projects in various sectors of activity, such as providing coaching to large clients for their road and infrastructure networks or to hydropower turbine rehabilitation service providers. We are very active in Quebec, primarily in the Greater Montreal Area, and are looking for an OHS Advisor who will ensure technical compliance in terms of OHS and offer expert services to an important client for the delivery of a major project in the transportation industry. Primary Responsibilities- Provide technical OHS support to the project team.
- Ensure compliance with governmental regulations, standards of practice, best practices, and the client’s policy.
- Ensure coordination with OHS managers assigned to the project.
- Provide expert advice to the client (including the project OHS director and OHS division lead) to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of OHS contractual requirements and obligations.
- Contribute to the roll-out of the supplier compliance audit program
- Contribute to the development of functional or operational strategies
- Base decisions on best practices, standards of practice and project priorities
- At least ten years of OHS experience in an industrial environment, or five years of experience in major construction projects
- Knowledge of OHS requirements in general and for Quebec specifically (LSST, RSST, CSTC, etc.), as well as applicable standards
- General knowledge of major risks associated with large-scale construction projects
- Command of the French language (spoken and written)
- Proven ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Ability to adapt, and agility
- Ability to prioritize work within tight deadlines
- Ability to quickly integrate a team working on a large-scale project that is already underway and rapidly moving forward
- OHS prevention officer card issued by the CNESST (an asset)
