The Payroll Administrator plays an essential role in growing talent in our business through collaboration and sharing best practices with the Payroll team. You know how to be curious about opportunities, and how to be real with feedback and support for each business unit you support.
As the Payroll Administrator , you will be responsible for all activities regarding payroll processing and administration, including tasks such as entering payroll information, conducting precise calculations, and safeguarding the confidentiality of employee records.
We are looking for a talented individual with a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and efficient data processing abilities to join our collaborative team at Lush Cosmetics. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for navigating complex information and ensuring the utmost accuracy in all payroll-related duties.
Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, the Payroll Administrator will undertake the following RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data into payroll system (ADP WFN) as well as retrieving data when necessary;
Respond to inquires and requests in payroll ticketing system;
Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information and interacting with various departments, managers and employees;
Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes;
Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential;
Process ad hoc requests as assigned and support senior team members in tasks as assigned;
Maintain detailed records and documentation of payroll functions for audit purpose, in accordance with statutory requirements;
Maintains a wide variety of payroll information, files and records in written and electronic formats for the purpose of providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance;
Research discrepancies of payroll information and/or documentation (e.g. timesheets, leave forms, etc.) Minimum 2 years' of recent payroll experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience
Experience and good working knowledge of payroll systems (ADP WFN preferred), internal controls and management
Experience in processing of hourly timesheets, salaries, bonuses and other forms of compensation
Ability to prepare ad hoc reports using MS Excel (intermediate level preferred)
Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance and procedures including labor laws and employment standards in all jurisdictions in which LUSH operates
Post-Secondary education in Accounting, Business or Finance is preferred or combination of education and work experience
