Be our next Senior Structural Engineer (Buildings)
EXP is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer (Buildings) to join our Markham office. While there is an opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects the primary focus of this position is to assist our design team on structural design for the residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

Assist the project principal with managing the projects
Work with other senior and/or junior engineers collaboratively
Participate in construction site meetings
Conduct site visits during construction to review work for general compliance to structural drawings and contract documents  
Degree in Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
Preferably 10+ years’ experience in structural engineering with a focus on building structural analysis and design.
Proven experience with complete design of projects including analysis, design, detailing, and construction administration for various building structure projects.
Experience with American and other international codes and standards is an asset,
Field experience on construction sites, conducting general reviews for compliance with drawings and specifications, and writing site reports.
Experience with Etabs, SAFE, SAP and other similar Structural software.
Team player with the proven ability to work independently and make technical decisions.
Commitment and dedication to client service as well as technical excellence.
Strategic thinker with the ability to determine what work is required and draw rational conclusions from all available information.
A valid driver’s license is an asset.
