Position Summary:

H&R Block Canada, the leader in the tax preparation industry in Canada for 60 years, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team.

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Senior HRBP will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive HR support and guidance to our CSC Departments and Field Associates.

You will be responsible for various HR activities such as training and development, DEIB, employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, succession planning, HR policy compliance, and leading projects to enhance the overall effectiveness of all HR focus areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops, delivers, and evaluates HR corporate training programs, with a special focus on leadership skills and DEIB, to address the specific needs of the business.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, ensuring thorough and unbiased workplace investigations, and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Collaborates closely with People Leaders and Associates to provide coaching on performance management, career growth, succession planning, and support in resolving workplace issues.
  • Reviews and develops HR policies annually, providing guidance and interpretation to ensure compliance with HR regulations.
  • Analyzes HR trends and metrics, leveraging insights to develop effective HR solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Assists leaders with change management efforts during the implementation of new processes and initiatives.
  • Stays updated on provincial employment legislations, ensuring compliance across the organization.

Education and Experience:

Degree in Human Resources or a related field and 7 years of experience as an HR generalist, including at least 3 years developing HR corporate training programs, or a relevant combination of education and experience.

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in French is a definite asset.

  • In-depth knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws across Canada.

Relevant du directeur ou directrice des Ressources humaines, le partenaire d’affaires des ressources humaines jouera un rôle crucial en donnant un soutien et des conseils complets en matière de ressources humaines à nos services du CSC et à nos employés et employées sur le territoire.

Vous serez responsable de diverses activités de RH telles que la formation et le développement, la Diversité, équité, inclusion et appartenance (DEIA), les relations avec les employé(e)s, les enquêtes sur le lieu de travail, la gestion des performances, la planification de la relève, la conformité aux politiques des RH et la conduite de projets visant à améliorer l'efficacité globale de tous les domaines d'intervention des RH.

Principales responsabilités :

  • Élaborer, mettre en œuvre et évaluer les programmes de formation de l'entreprise en matière de ressources humaines, en mettant l'accent sur les compétences de leadership et la DEIA, afin de répondre aux besoins spécifiques de l'entreprise.
  • Gérer et résoudre les problèmes complexes liés aux relations avec les employé(e)s, en veillant à ce que les enquêtes sur le lieu de travail soient approfondies et impartiales, et en conservant une documentation précise.
  • Collaborer étroitement avec les responsables des Ressources humaines et les employé(e)s afin de d’offrir un accompagnement en matière de gestion des performances, d'évolution de carrière, de planification de la relève et de soutien à la résolution des problèmes liés au lieu de travail.
  • Réviser et élaborer chaque année des politiques en matière de ressources humaines, en donnant des orientations et des interprétations afin de garantir la conformité avec les réglementations en matière de ressources humaines.
  • Analyser les tendances et les mesures en matière de ressources humaines, en tirant parti des connaissances acquises pour élaborer des solutions, des programmes et des politiques efficaces dans le domaine des ressources humaines.
  • Soutenir les dirigeants et les dirigeantes dans leurs efforts de gestion du changement lors de la mise en œuvre de nouveaux processus et de nouvelles initiatives.
  • Se tenir au courant des législations provinciales en matière d'emploi, afin d'assurer la conformité dans l'ensemble de l'organisation.

Éducation et expérience :

Diplôme en Ressources humaines ou dans un domaine connexe et 7 ans d'expérience en tant que généraliste en ressources humaines, dont au moins 3 ans dans l'élaboration de programmes de formation d'entreprise en ressources humaines, ou une combinaison pertinente d'études et d'expérience.

Compétences et qualités :

  • Excellentes aptitudes à la communication orale et écrite en anglais. La maîtrise du français est un atout indéniable.
  • Penseur stratégique capable d'aligner les stratégies RH sur les objectifs de l'entreprise.
  • Connaissance approfondie des politiques et procédures en matière de ressources humaines, ainsi que des lois sur l'emploi en vigueur au Canada.
  • Solides capacités d'analyse et de résolution de problèmes.
  • Compétences en gestion du changement pour soutenir les transitions organisationnelles.
  • Compétences avérées en matière de collaboration et d'établissement de relations.
  • Capacité à traiter des informations sensibles et confidentielles avec discrétion.
  • Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office.
  • Sens aigu des affaires.
  • Capacité d'adaptation et flexibilité.
  • Motivation personnelle et proactivité.
