As the Assistant Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Assist in reviewing and managing the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable and receivable processes.
Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
Coordinate with external auditors during annual financial audits or government audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
Collaborate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting department.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Primarily QuickBooks) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with SQL a strong asset.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills in both English and French. Local to Montreal, QC or surrounding Area. This is a Hybrid role that will require some office presence.

Baccalauréat en comptabilité, en finance ou dans un domaine similaire.
Maîtrise des logiciels de comptabilité (principalement QuickBooks) et maîtrise avancée de Microsoft Excel. Une bonne connaissance du langage SQL est un atout majeur.
Compétences efficaces en matière de communication et de relations interpersonnelles en anglais et en français. Local à Montréal, QC ou dans la région environnante. Il s'agit d'un poste hybride qui nécessitera une certaine présence au bureau.
