This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals looking to oversee the whole month-end process and have other responsibilities. The successful candidate will work closely with the Corporate Controller and various cross-functional teams to execute and lead month-end process and other special project. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Assistant Controller will be responsible for various things.Key Responsibilities:Leading the month-end process, including reporting for entities of the group, consolidation process, and year-end review and audit processes under ASPE.Proactively investigate and implement new processes to improve the timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting.Overseeing inventory costing and coordinating with the business to investigate issues.Ensuring documentation of all processes and procedures are up to date and the appropriate controls are in place for all financial processes under your responsibility.Performing monthly profit-and-loss analytics for management’s use, and reviewing the monthly balance-sheet-binders.Maintaining the standardization of data.Overseeing of all statutory and government audits.Must Haves:CPA Designation5 years of experience minimum leading and managing a team.Experience using ERP systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365Strong leadership skills and ability to develop strategic business relationshipsExcellent critical thinking skills.Detail oriented and highly organized.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Nice to have:Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements and reports.Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations based on findings.Problem-solving skills to address financial discrepancies or inefficiencies.Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.If you are enthusiastic about being a part of our Moose family and eager to gain valuable experience in a dynamic fashion retail environment, we encourage you to apply for the Assistant Controller position.
