Role

We are seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to join our Corporate Group in Montreal. Reporting to the Corporate services director, the candidate will provide administrative assistance to a dynamic team of paralegals and lawyers and play a key role in supporting high-profile transactions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Draft and review correspondence, letters, agreements and other documents

• Develop document templates and complete forms

• Manage calendars, client lists, files and billing as required

• Perform administrative tasks such as new business intake, creating expense reports, and data entry

• Update and ensure the accuracy of the organization's databases

• Perform general procedural tasks related to the business of the firm, such as obtaining tax identification numbers, communicating with the Registre des Entreprises, and similar

• Perform other general administrative responsibilities such as email correspondence, printing and filing, answering and forwarding incoming calls

Qualifications

• Vocational Studies Diploma (DEP)

• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience

• Excellent oral and writing skills in French and English

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Outlook, Word and Excel)

• Great attention to detail

• Self-starter with good judgment, a high level of professionalism, and exceptional communication skills

• Ability to set priorities and work within tight deadlines

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
