Based on operational needs, the BCFMWU is recruiting external applicants to work as Casual support staff in our Nanaimo office for the position of Spareboard Reception/Admin Assistant.

Qualified applicants will possess:

Ability to use standard office equipment (computer, switchboard, photocopier)
Successful completion of High School (Grade 12 or GED)
2 - 4 years experience in an office environment, proficient in Microsoft Office
Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills and written communication skills
Aptitude for organization and detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Office hours are 8:30am - 4:30pm, with closure for lunch 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm. Days of work will be based on relief requirements, this is a casual position.
