Permanent Full Time Reporting to the Associate Manager, Corporate Financial Reporting, the Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will be a key member of the global financial reporting team, with a focus on segregated funds financial reporting. What you will do

  • Prepare semi-annual and annual financial statements for our Canadian segregated funds
  • Perform quarterly financial close processes
  • Process daily and monthly journal vouchers
  • Prepare quarterly and annual reports for regulators
  • Update reports for new funds, fund re-mixes, fund manager changes and fund category updates
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Assist with the analysis of accounting policies to ensure segregated fund financial statements comply with IFRS and CLHIA standards
  • Assist the general account financial close and reporting team as needed, including quarterly financial reports for internal management and the Board of Directors.
  • Assist with ad-hoc requests related to segregated funds
What you will bring
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business/Finance, professional accounting designation (Chartered Professional Accountant) or in pursuit of, would be considered an asset
  • 3-5 years of experience in a staff accountant, financial analyst, or reporting role; those with experience in an SAP environment are preferred
  • Strong attention to detail in assessing financial information
  • Excellent organizational & time management skills, with the ability to assess and prioritize multiple responsibilities and work with limited supervision
  • Knowledge and efficient use of MS Office suite, with advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively articulate issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Ability to adapt and learn new processes and tasks
  • Experience with financial reporting solutions; experience with Workiva would be considered an asset
The base salary for this position is between $49,100.00 - $ 73,600.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
