Corporate Officer
The District of Highlands is primarily a rural residential community of 2,500 residents, with an exceptional abundance of scenic beauty, native plant and animal life, and public parkland. We are seeking a progressive and accomplished professional to join our team as Corporate Officer.
The Corporate Officer has the responsibility for carrying out the powers, duties and functions of the Corporate Officer as set out in the Community Charter and other provisions applicable to the Corporate Officer in other enactments.
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the primary responsibilities of this position include:
supervising office staff
drafting and managing bylaws, policies, agreements, and contracts
managing communications, including the District’s website
The Corporate Officer exercises considerable independent judgment, initiative, tact, courtesy, and diplomacy in processing assignments, while maintaining confidentiality for all files that are of sensitive nature.
Preference will be given to candidates with related education and a minimum of five (5) years’ related experience in local government administration. A detailed job description can be found on the District’s website:
The proposed annual salary for this full-time position is $115,000 (under review).
