In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, the Registered Care Aide provides resident care in accordance with resident-centred care philosophy and established regional and facility policies and procedures. As part of the multidisciplinary team and under the direction of the Manager or designate, the Registered Care Aide performs nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse and respiration in addition to resident care duties relating to activities of daily living, including personal, social, physical and recreational needs. Transports residents and performs clerical duties.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Evenings, Nights, 06:45 to 14:45, 14:45 to 22:45, 22:45 to 06:45 (Rotating)
Jubilee Lodge , attached to the University Hospital of Northern BC is a 66-bed facility; with one-bed, two-bed and four-bed units. Recreation Therapy is provided on site, which provides activities such as hymn-sing, school visits with the elderly, choral groups.
The city itself is the 4th largest in British Columbia and has a population of approximately 82,300 local residents and a service centre for nearly 320,000. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
• Are you an International Applicant? Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience and registered with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
