The Opportunity:ML6 is seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our clients team in the dewatering services industry. This role involves preparing, submitting, and delivering construction proposals, tenders, and estimates while assisting in the development and administration of project contracts, budgets, quality control, and job costing.What You'll Be Doing:Prepare, submit, and deliver construction proposals, tenders, and estimatesAssist in the development and administration of project contracts, budgets, quality control, and job costingAssist in the daily management of construction projectsReview and interpret proposed designs, engineering drawings, and specifications for functionality and appropriatenessInitiate questions to the engineerAssist in the issuance of purchase orders, contracts, schedules, change orders, extra work, etc.Represent the company in business dealings with customers, consultants, engineers, stakeholders, sub-contractors, suppliers, and other private or public agenciesAccurately review Daily Field Reports (DFR) or diaries showing all hours for the crew under the appropriate cost code, as well as all materials delivered to the site and daily productionsAccurately review purchase orders with job numbers and cost codesAccurately review crew’s timecards, ensure delivery slips are accurate and code with job numbers and cost codesEnsure the well-being of the project team throughout the projectEngage with the team to gather suggestions for project executionUpdate information on project management development, tools, regulations, market demand, and potential clientsArrange project completion based on the specifications of the project ownerAssemble a proficient team to achieve project goals in changing, fixed, and responsive circumstances using leadership and management expertisePlan, commence, execute, supervise, and complete assigned projectsSuggest strategies for achieving project goals to the ownerWhat You'll Need to Be Successful:Thorough understanding of the company safety manual and OHSA manualValid driver’s license and ability to safely operate company vehiclesKnowledge of construction/civil engineering design and planning principles/proceduresAbility to develop and present project estimatesAbility to read plans, schematics, shop drawings, specifications, and technical manualsTechnical knowledge of civil engineering project materials and methodsAbility to negotiate and manage purchasing arrangementsStrong organizational and prioritizing skillsKnowledge of all types of contracts, including Unit Price, Fixed Price, and Cost PlusFamiliarity with operating practices of construction, engineering, architectural, and building firmsEffective communication skills – both verbal and writtenAbility to perform site inspections for estimating, managing, and QA/QC purposesProficiency in using computers – MS Office and estimating software/job costing systemsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesThorough knowledge of pipe types and fittingsClear and effective communication with crew and managementSelf-starter with a passion for the environmental industryCompletion of P.Eng, AScT, C.Tech, or GSC certificationOccupational First Aid - Level 1 or equivalentKnowledge of polymers and their application, sludge dewatering
