As our Managing Director (MD) for Canada you'll be responsible for commercial and wider development of the business in our Canadian region. This region is one of our focus areas estimated at over $250M Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and growing at 15%+ year on year. You'll be a key leader in Sage by being a member of Sage's Global Executive Team and North America's Commercial Leadership team.
You'll own the country's full Profit and Loss (P&L), develop and manage our sales growth and market share. This means you'll be focused on driving sales and revenue growth for both new customers (NCA) and existing customers while ensuring an excellent customer experience to Customers, Partners, and Accountants. Additionally, you'll be connecting and cooperating with the global product, support, and marketing organisations to ensure fit-for-market propositions, optimising the marketing funnel as well as participating and guiding internal communications, corporate affairs, and media engagements.

Key Responsibilities Your responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
- Identify and execute initiatives and priorities in line with overall global priorities.
- Grow Sage in NCA, Growth, Accountants, and other markets in the region.
- Scale Canada effectively and efficiently through working closely with the Chief Growth Officer's team and executing against the sales blueprints.
- Lead and nurture a direct team of 150 Canada Go To Market (GTM) colleagues and the wider 250+ colleagues in Canada.
- Region's performance management, taking actions to both accelerate areas of performance above plan and course correct if needed.
- Act as the single point of escalation for customers and partners in Canada accountability over commercial relationships (within delegated authority).
- Regional leadership, representing and lobbying in the region, being the voice of Sage and guaranteeing the One Sage approach.
- Experience operating at scale with $500m+ revenue accountability.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Canadian market, SaaS business and commercial model including P&L management.
- Sales, commercial acumen, and experience of multiple sales motions (direct, inside sales, partners, digital) across multiple customer segments.
- Experience leading and executing through influence, both direct and matrixed teams, in a complex global matrixed organization.
- Experience of different customer segments: Small and Medium Business (SMB), Enterprise, and Channel.
- Ability to articulate a vision for the business and build the roadmap as to how to get there.
