The District Engineering function provides engineering services to Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) projects in the Americas. Our engineers develop cutting edge control system solutions for our customers in the domains of HVAC, Fire Alarm, and Security, as well as custom Graphical User Interfaces. We also provide a variety of frontend design and deployment solutions as well as comprehensive Connected Commissioning offerings.

The Senior Application Engineering Supervisor (or District Engineering Leader) will manage a specific team of HBS-Americas designers to ensure the delivery of high-quality engineering services on time and under budget. The team lead will also be responsible for the successful management and deployment of key departmental initiatives. The DEL will demonstrate leadership and manage team members to achieve team and individual goals.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Achieve own and team results and metrics in assigned areas including Quality, Ontime Delivery, Team Utilization, Cost Control and Customer Satisfaction
  • Coach and lead designers and engineers towards team success in delivering high quality engineering on time and under budget to the aligned district/ domain / project
  • Be a resource for supporting complex solutions, architecture, configurations, etc.
  • Possess high level skills for building control systems and perform design where required. Ability to engineer small projects by completing hardware drawings, application software and graphics as required
  • Prepare submittals per engineering standards, ensuring commitment dates are met. Review submittals with sales and delivery teams and lead team to obtain hardware submittal approvals
  • Review team generated designs of control systems to meet quality objectives
  • Engage closely with district leadership, project managers and technicians, build close relationships and provide excellent engineering services. Build professional relationships with project managers, salespeople and managers for their assigned region or domain
  • Work closely with other engineering leads and engineering centers to coordinate projects done by other centers
  • Support Sales and Project Manager on surveys, application selection, layout of potential retrofit opportunities and assessing customers' business objectives and strategies
  • Participate in estimate reviews, help build and approve/manage labor estimates. Professionally communicate in writing and verbally to account team, proposal team management and customers
  • Have the technical presentation skills to impress customers with Honeywell Solutions
  • For strategic initiatives assigned, drive self and team to deliver initiative results in defined time
  • Manage goal setting and performance reviews for team members and develop and support team's talent development for continuous improvement
  • Must have the ability to multitask and produce desired results in a deadline driven environment.
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in designing and programming HVAC/Fire/Security control systems
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience with utilizing control system design tools/AutoCAD 2000 /Visio etc.
  • Bilingual (French and English) for both verbal and written.

Le chef d'équipe sera également responsable de la gestion et du déploiement réussis des initiatives ministérielles clés. Le DEL fera preuve de leadership et gérera les membres de l'équipe pour atteindre les objectifs de l'équipe et individuels.

Responsabilités du poste :
  • Atteindre les résultats et les mesures de votre propre équipe et de ceux de votre équipe dans les domaines assignés, notamment la qualité, la livraison dans les délais, l'utilisation de l'équipe, le contrôle des coûts et la satisfaction du client.
  • Coacher et diriger les concepteurs et les ingénieurs vers le succès de l'équipe en fournissant une ingénierie de haute qualité dans les délais et dans les limites du budget au district/domaine/projet aligné.
  • Être une ressource pour prendre en charge des solutions, des architectures, des configurations complexes, etc.
  • Posséder des compétences de haut niveau pour les systèmes de contrôle des bâtiments et effectuer la conception si nécessaire. Capacité à concevoir de petits projets en réalisant des dessins de matériel, des logiciels d'application et des graphiques selon les besoins
  • Préparer les soumissions selon les normes d'ingénierie, en veillant à ce que les dates d'engagement soient respectées. Examiner les soumissions avec les équipes de vente et de livraison et diriger l'équipe pour obtenir les approbations des soumissions de matériel.
  • Examiner les conceptions de systèmes de contrôle générées par l'équipe pour atteindre les objectifs de qualité
  • Collaborer étroitement avec les dirigeants du district, les chefs de projet et les techniciens, établir des relations étroites et fournir d'excellents services d'ingénierie. Établir des relations professionnelles avec les chefs de projet, les vendeurs et les gestionnaires pour leur région ou domaine assigné
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec d'autres responsables d'ingénierie et centres d'ingénierie pour coordonner les projets réalisés par d'autres centres.
  • Soutenir les ventes et le chef de projet dans les enquêtes, la sélection des applications, la présentation des opportunités de modernisation potentielles et l'évaluation des objectifs et des stratégies commerciales des clients.
  • Participer aux révisions des estimations, aider à créer et approuver/gérer les estimations de main-d'œuvre. Communiquer professionnellement par écrit et verbalement avec l'équipe de compte, la direction de l'équipe de proposition et les clients.
  • Posséder les compétences techniques en matière de présentation pour impressionner les clients avec les solutions Honeywell
  • Pour les initiatives stratégiques assignées, conduire soi-même et son équipe à produire des résultats d'initiative dans un délai défini
  • Gérer l'établissement des objectifs et les évaluations des performances des membres de l'équipe, développer et soutenir le développement des talents de l'équipe pour une amélioration continue.
  • Doit avoir la capacité d'effectuer plusieurs tâches à la fois et de produire les résultats souhaités dans un environnement axé sur les délais.
VOUS DEVEZ AVOIR
  • Baccalauréat en génie mécanique ou électrique ou domaine technique connexe
  • Plus de 5 ans d'expérience dans la conception et la programmation de systèmes de contrôle CVC/incendie/sécurité
  • Au moins 3 ans d'expérience dans l'utilisation d'outils de conception de systèmes de contrôle/AutoCAD 2000/Visio, etc.
  • Bilingue (français et anglais) à l'oral et à l'écrit.
