In Western Canada, JPD is also active in the development of new projects consisting of multi-family condo and rental residential, industrial, self-storage and retail commercial. We recently completed the Burrard Place mixed use development. The Burrard Place development is architecturally significant and includes Vancouver’s tallest residential tower. JPD also has plans to diversify the portfolio to include projects in other major centers across Canada.JPD is seeking a full-time Senior Development Coordinator to join our development team. The Senior Development Coordinator reports directly to the VP – Development & Investment. The role is an exciting opportunity to work for a very well capitalized and stable business on projects spanning a variety of asset classes and markets. We have a small close knit team and consequently you will have the opportunity to gain broad exposure to the entire development lifecycle including due diligence, approvals, design and construction. This will include close collaboration with external consultants, marketing and city staff.The ideal candidate is a dynamic, collaborative and driven individual that is passionate about developing a career in real estate. You are an excellent communicator with strong analytical and organizational skills. You are a self-starter but also love to learn and soak up knowledge from those around you. We are open to considering candidates with 2-5 years relevant experience as Development Coordinator, Project Coordinator or Analyst. You should have a relevant education such as Urban Land, Architecture or Engineering but most importantly you have a positive attitude and genuine interest in real estate. Alternately we are open to hiring someone at Development Coordinator level if a candidate displays high potential but is not experienced enough to join as SDC right away. In exchange for your hard work and commitment you will earn an attractive compensation package including competitive base salary of $75-100k (commensurate with experience level), bonus and RRSP matching. The opportunity for learning and professional development is considerable. The position offers a clear route to becoming a Development Manager in the future. We currently work out of modern, well-appointed offices in North Vancouver.
